  4. I have not used that rod,but I do like a short rod with a shorter hander. My weapon of choice is a CR722 If the Daiwa feels good in your hand with your reel on it, go for it!
  5. Go buy the FALCON! I said in your other post that it would be a noodle compared to your ABU...... is it? Its a real nice rod, and will serve you well. I throw cranks all the time without a crankin rod. Just really dont want an extra fast tip. That falcon will throw small and med sized cranks great.I would recommend the 7ft.Plus it will make a great all rounder 8-)
  6. Welcome from a fellow NCer! Lake Norman, Lake Wylie if you head this way. 8-)
  7. The 7'Med is a noodle compared to that abu. I would suggest you hold one first. why not another abu?
  8. I'm very sorry to hear about your rods. Buying new rods is not as fun when you have to. > Just a thought, was there some type of vent on your rod tube? Airtight,glue,hot,cold....maybe???
  9. 683c and 704c 682MLEF or 702MLEF spin... 8-)
  10. Powell 683C and 704C!! Out of all the rods listed the powell has the only LIFETIME warranty. I have the 683c love it, and the 704 will be next.
