I have been throwing one. I like it....still playing with it though. Add some suspend dots to get it down.

The gunfish is pretty cool. It's not my favorite bait...but I like that I can walk and pop etc. on the same bait. Usually I will switch to a different bait once I get a feeling for what they are looking for.

I would start with some strike kings from wallymart....they're inexpensive and work decent. Nothing to get upset over when you leave one stuck in some wood 10' down.

Crankbaits and spinnerbaits.

I probably have 20 or so spinnerbaits and 10 buzzbaits that I keep in my bag. maybe another 100 or so in the garage.

A 10 degree drop in the fall is what I look for. Shorter daylight hours is also key but that is already happening anyway so if you have a 10 degree drop from your summer temps they are more than likely in their fall pattern.
