  1. So I'm Cody, you can call me whatever you like, and I've been fishing for roughly two years. Actually, closer to a year and a half, but I've been absorbing everything I've been taught by a good friend of mine. I'm still learning and I really want to persue an excellence when it comes to fishing. Its a very large passion of mine already, and I plan on continuing to fish for my whole life! Any guidance would be accepted with open arms.
  2. Never had good luck Bass fishin' at night. Catfish mostly, but I'm a Bass man, myself. Good luck to you though! Are you going to be using those glow in the dark bobbers?
  3. Craws (plastics) rigged Texas-Style are quite nice near craw holes and other structure, in my opinion.
  4. I'd be dominated. I'm 18 years old and have only been fishing two years. I can't wait till I feel I've acquired enough knowledge to even take on the guy who's "mentoring" me. It'll be fun! Then we'll talk about KVD. ;D
  5. You'll often notice that small lakes and ponds like the one that you are explaining to us are extremely accessible resulting in a high number of fishing being taken from the body. Its extremely likely that it has been over fished and just needs to be stocked. I wouldn't recommend stocking it yourself, due to laws and such, but if you can hit up your City Hall they may have a record as to who has the deed to the body of water, assuming its not just public. Good luck!
  6. We had a chance to go out on the water with the DNR recently and we kept a catfish alive for over 20 minutes! I was very excited that he made it to cleaning time but she sure was hanging in there, even without water. Other species I'm not too sure about, I'm sure a live well will definitely do you right if you have one, even just a cage you can throw in while you're fishing. Good luck bud!
  7. If you get a chance to get out again, try some spinners or buzz baits. I know bass, both smallies and largies love these things, and I've had much luck on them. Also, if you're fishing cover I recommend the Rage Toad. I was watching Hank Parker or Shawn Grigsby fish these guys near cover and oh boy is it exciting! Good luck on the water bud!
