  1. Braid: Daiwa Samurai (55lb) and Suffix Performance (65lb) Mono: Don't use Fluoro: Daiwa Steez (12lb and 20lb)
  2. I to have it, its one of the reasons I won't buy those tiny micro guides. It'll eventually wash up to shore or sink or whatever it does! It does look cool when its snowing cotton, beautiful actually
  3. Even though I don't own anymore 50 sized shimano reels, they had to be my favorite size. Like stated before, its a do everything reel, not just light duty.
  4. Braid is my preferred line for spinnerbaits. Mainly for the fact I'm casting around or in between weeds and it'll slice threw it better and if it gets stuck I just pull it off
  5. This topic was from back a couple months
  6. Perfectly said there Mike!
  7. As long as there teeth don't touch it, you'll be fine!
  8. I use 55lb in green. If visibility is a concern I use a 12lb leader. Brand that I use is Daiwa Samurai and Daiwa Steez Fluorocarbon both in green....
  9. M 7.1, MH 6.4, that's how I would personally do it. Though you should try it both ways and see what you like ir best.
  10. Plus it'll be priced nicely, going by specs I'm thinking the reel will get some attention. Though the colors may be a bit different then the one you see there and also its labeled as having "New T-Wing System" As for the price Medium Heavy is in the ballpark.
  11. I'm thinking Daiwa fans will be happy with one the reels coming out
  12. How heavy of cover? If its not extremely heavy cover it'll be ok. Once you get up to the thick stuff, longer and more moderate action rod is best suited. Control of fish but the most important the moderate action will help not snap your rod like a twig
  13. Won't be disappointed with a core. Had 2 51's and 2 core 101's at one point, they never let me down. Though they are sold now.
  14. Chuck Norris gets around, even in a video game I use to play I would hear about him plus he was in there commercials! Lol. He is the man!
  15. Trust me you'll like it
  16. Just copied and pasted this in a file I had, hope it comes out ok! This is pretty much what I have everything dedicated to. ************Crankbait************* Steez Flexlite M 7' Mod (Steez 100) (Steez 12lb) Steez Flexlite MH 7'2" Mod (Steez 100) (Steez 12lb) ***************Jig**************** Steez Compile-X H 7'1" Fast (Steez EX) (Samurai 55lb) G Loomis NRX MH 7'1" XF (PX68) (Steez 10lb) ***************Trig*************** St. Croix Extreme MH 7' Fast (Steez 103) (Samurai 55lb) Otterods MH 7'6" XF (Revo Akatsuki) (Sniper 8lb) **************Frogs*************** Steez XBD XH 7'4" Fast (Z) (Suffix 65lb) Zombie H 7'6" Fast (Zillion Type R) (Suffix 65lb) ************Topwater************* Steez SVF MH 6'3" Fast (Revo Aurora) (Samurai 55lb) *************Dropshot************** Steez Megatop ML 6'11" XF (Pixy Type R) (Steez 10lb) ***********Spinnerbaits************ SVF MH 7' Fast (Zonda 68) (Samurai 55lb) ***********Punching************** St. Croix Extreme H 7'11" Mod F (Zillion Type R) (Suffix 65lb) ************Jerkbait*************** Zillion M 6'6" XF (Zillion) (Samurai 55lb) ***********Shakeyhead********** Fuego M 6'10" XF (Fuego 2000) (Sniper 8lb)
  17. Not sure about any of them but going by the cover around here, the H is the only one I would think of. Though personally I don't like XF but that shouldn't bother you
  18. I liked the LOTR reference! Though I agree with everyone
  19. They are very nice, that's why I got 4 of them Congrats on the reel, it probably won't be your last either!
  20. Not much love for Daiwa on this forum. The Zillion is a great reel
