  1. I've used one piece of electrical tape, leaves a residue but sure tightened things up.
  2. I always thought 10# mono was the baseline but I don't know the answer to the OP question either, lol.
  3. They seem nice but those itty bitty guides won't work around here very well, to much junk in the water that would clog those in a heartbeat I think. Other then that any rod that goes to 4oz, would fit in just fine around here!
  4. Another fan of samurai, though I use the 55lb on almost all my setups. Definitely worth a try
  5. I agree with SirSnookalot, I've never had a problem with the improved clinch with braid. I switch between that and the palomar knot with the same success.
  6. Out of the rods I currently own the NRX is probably the most sensitive but not far behind is the Legend Xtreme and Steez. That being said, I prefer my Steez due to the fact I think its more comfortable and little bit more refined. If that matters
  7. Beautiful collection!!! That's the tackle porn I love to see!
  8. Don't tell everyone my secret shopping reel buying tips!
  9. Thanks Its a good starter kit. Yay for left handed reels. Only wish all reels would have that option!
  10. This is my arsenal except 2 reels. Still debating on those 2, I had 3 cores I sold to help fund the next 2 Thanks Frog turds!
  11. The big guns Thick weeds and brush are most of the lakes around here.
  12. 6'9" for punching, lol. Is that for your kiddie pool?
  13. To be honest, I had to google what it was. I've never heard of it till now
  14. Might as well add a Daiwa lexa and Zillion to that list to.
  15. I've never had a problem with the standard knobs and just going by the pictures that extra bulk would make it uncomfortable ( just an assumption ).
  16. I always use heavier braid, 55lb for my all around rods ( which is only the equivalent to approx 10lb mono ) and 65lb for punching and frogging. Why? Mainly the lakes around here are extremely weedy and my main lake I fish is covered in timber. I just like to know I can get my lure back, that being said I'm sure I wouldnt need to go that high but the diameter is so small I don't see why not
  17. One of the Best company's online!!!
  18. Not at all. Punching and frogging, or just bobber fishing for some panfish....it'll work!!
  19. Well it's hard to beat the Steez and you can find the older model for a great price new and really good if you find a used one, check the forsale forums here and on TT. I have the PX Type R and the JDM counterpart the PX68 both are fantastic and couldn't go wrong. Though for heavier jigs I use a Zillion Type R, which I'm a big fan of the zillions and there's some JDM ones I'm waiting patiently on to find. There's just a ton of options and not a bad one in my opinion once you get in the upper end. As for Megabass reels, new there over my comfort level but I check all the time to snag a good used one, lol. The zonda is a megabass tuned PX68. If you have any questions on the USDM high end Daiwas or TT is a good place to get info on higher end gear, a lot of tackle heads over there compared to here.
  20. I'm right handed and fish left handed reels
  21. I hope for a lot of cool things but 1 thing for sure would be the Xcalibur XR50's!!
