Thanks man! Yeah, I could tell the battery wasn't holding juice, but the marina met us and swapped out the battery with a new one and she growled the rest of the day. Correct me if I am wrong, but is this product is used to keep gas from gumming up the carbs in between usage?

My new 2004 Stratos 295 Pro XL w/ a 200 HP Merc. EFI As some of you already know, I picked up my first boat over the weekend. Now that I have it, I want to do everything I can do protect my investement. I obviously have very little knowledge with high performance boats, so any help will be much appreciated. The salesman I worked with gave me a few options for oil: Mercury Premium Plus and Pennzoil 100% Synthetic What do you prefer and why? Also, I was given a bottle of Mercury Quickcleen "deep clean". Besides adding some to my tank when I fill up, what other products do you use in place or with quickclean to elimintate carbon build up? What gas should I use? Will regular unleaded be alright? My last question is where can I check my oil levels?

Color = NorthStar new gill Netbait Paca Craw or Keitech Fat Impact In the spring I use a lighter 1/4 oz size and use a slow retrieve and fall presentation. When I kill the bait, the lighter size just glides to the bottom, leaving the bait in the strike zone longer. The bass seem to hate that!

I have always like Picasso's football head jigs...some people can't stand that thin diameter wire keeper, but I have never had an issue with it. NorthStar also has a great jig head.

There site doesn't have much on there, but I do like a good tube. If I can find them somewhere on the internet, I would try them out.

I don't think I will every purchase a jersey per say, but I am in the process of customizing a lightweight sweatshirt that will have one of my sponsors on it. Being a part of the business gives me great joy to represent them as much as possible. What does get under my skin is how the younger generation, in a lot of cases, feels that they cannot be successful without getting as many sponsors on their jersey as possible. I cannot tell you how many kids have contacted me asking to put NorthStar's logo on their jersey, and when I ask them how are you going to promote our company? and what tournaments are you going to fish? They don't have an answer. My mentality has always been focus on fishing and the sponsors will come.

Agreed. To add to this, I would have liked them to use more time focusing on all of the anglers, not choosing who would be the most entertaining and give them a camera crew while, while others are left out.

Thanks for the input guys! I really don't see myself making long runs, so I feel a little better about going with the EFI over the Opti... I will definitely be taking her easy until I feel comfortable working on the chine walk...I know how dangerous it can be driving a performance boat without the knowledge or experience (which I have never of)
