6.5 lbs on a jig and rage craw.

Been at The Big G this weekend. The bite has been a tough one with the weather on Friday and the wind today. We have three groups here today. We had the best bag and big fish, but it was a grind in the wind. Our best 5 were right at 17lbs with a 5lber.

On a lake with lots of grass and shad as primary food source.

Anybody tried these? Any good?

Has anybody used a revo sx or stx for the a rig?

so if i had a 5:4:1 it would be better? i plan to fish this fairly shallow, so I was thinking the 6:4:1 would be better and keep it out of the grass better. Curious to what you guys think? thinking about putting one of my cranking reels(5:4:1) on the A rig.

Checked this rod out today at bass pro. Seems tip heavy as most of you guys indicated. Not sure about that one. Going to check out the duckett 7'11 eh rod, the pinnacle 7'11 flipping rod, and the Powell umbrella rig rod.

Yeah, just looked at that on at academy. I wanted one a little longer. Although that one seemed like a good fit.

What is the best rod for the Alabama rig? I don't want to pay $200 for a new rod, but I would like to get some opinions on here. Thanks

Guys, I need some help here. I am trying to set up a rig dedicated to the A-Rig and I need some advice on reel speed. I have a revo 7.1.1 and a revo 6.4.1 and need to choose between the two. I will be fishing mainly shallow water 6' or less. I have read other sites and its between the two speeds, but I am not sure which one to go with. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

I just got a couple of the Wec E1 cranks. You guys think I should replace the trebles? If so what size triple grip?

Another question. I have a revo winch and I plan on pairing it with the quantum tour kvd or the Powell square bill rod. My question is, what do I need to do to set up the winch to cast those little cranks and not backlash 50% of the time? Seems like every other cast right now I am pulling out a small backlash. Thanks

Ok, I love fishing a swim jig. I have bought and LOVE the powell 723 swim jig rod My link, but I need a rod to throw bigger swim jigs and swim baits. I have heard the Dobyns 765 is a great option, but I don't have $250 to drop on a rod. My question is for anybody out there that has the Powell Endurance 775. Would it serve as a good heavier swim jig rod? I want to throw 1/2 to 3/4 jigs with 4" - 5" swimbait trailers. Any feedback would be appreciated. TIGHT LINES!
