Dwight- I couldn't agree with you more. I'm a rookie to fishing, and actually still haven't caught a fish, but I find this forum VERY helpful. I stumbled acrossed it, and have been very impressed. Take care.

This is stricktly out of curiousity, but does anyone know how many people are members to BR? They seem to sell ad space to quite a few huge fishing companies whitch I'm sure don't buy space for the hell of it. Another question, I'm sure there are a TON of members, but what percentage are active with at least .25 posts a day? Anyone know? If anyone can tame my curious mind, I would appreciate it!

How and what are the best circumstances for fishing the following; Carolina rig Texas rig G-man rig (no idea what this is) jig plastics. any input would be great help, i'm going fishing this evening, from the shore and the spot i'm gonna try has a litle vegetation.

First time out and your buddy got some action?! I gotta get out with you, still nothin on my resume. New outfit though. Where is this pond you found, and the creek? Being that we are pretty close to each other, I may have to try these spots.

I just got a ne BC reel, and a new rod. i was practicing casting in my pool, and it dawned on me i might be messing up my new gear. the rage shad started to change colors, but i guess it was just some of the chlroine fromt he bottom of the pool, cuz it wiped right off. will the chlorine mess anything up too bad?

I usually (boatless) fish from the shore, and ive had no luck catching any bass. but i did see a spot where a guy pulled a couple out in the hour or so i was there, i might try that spot. its relativley shollow, being thats its being fished from the shore, and there are some weeds growing out of the water. what do you suggest i use?

That's a lot to ask for, dude. I'm new to fishing, but just got a 6'6" st croix med/fast paired with an abu c3. I have 10# stren flouro on it now. Also have a crappy shakespere rod/ reel combo with 14# trilene xtra tough of it. I guess you can call that my flip stik.

I just picked up a few crank baits. various kinds, lipless, shallows, deep, and a sinker. they are relativley small, maybe 2" each, whats the best way to present these, and also the best knot to use?

Got a st croix premier 6'6" rod paired with an abu garcia 4600 C3 for fathers day. Along with a $50 card for gander for tackle. Howd I make out?

If you wanna push that hour travel time to full capacity there's a Dicks and a Gander Mtn off 130 in F'burg. And there are two rental places near there as well, Motts and Hunting run. Also a 900 acre rez in Quantico called Lunga. They rent boats wednesday through sunday. Motts is closed tuesday and wednesday. Unsure of hunting run (heard hunbting run is hot right now)
