What the hell is a senko? A plastic worm, right? Any plastic worm? I just picked up a pack of Gulp 5" pumpkin worms. Considered a senko?

my budget isnt really set for having multiple rods for different types of fishing. but the lake i fish most of the time has a lot of weeds, and i fish primarily from the shore, would you reccomend getting a"flipping rod" for every type of fishing, or just strictly for flipping?

what is the difference between flast side and fat shad? tight/ wider wiggle?

well to be honest that was my first intial reason for the BC, because it looked cool. but the more i read about it im facinated and anxious to master it. thanks for the input, fellas.

hey. i just foudn out i cannot take off work monday morning, so i wade from like 6-8 am if any one is down. it wouldnt be worth it if i hop on a boat. let me know, i'd like to wade. never have, and dont know what i need.. vest? waders, boots? fill me in fellas. i look forward to getting out with some experience. also, what kind of bait? senkos? holler at me!

i'm down for whatever is gonna stretch my line some. i need to learn a lot all around. i could probably only fish until noon or so anyway, so that would work out for both of us. i read some where that motts is open from 7-7. i dont know if thats when they start renting though. whichever youre down for, i'll be down for as well.

Funny you should ask. I've been "developing" this cough, and my eyes have been reel watery. I may be sick on friday. I live in stafford and am boatless, and have yet fished on the river. Where's a good shore spot?

So I'm pretty sure i'm getting a new outfit for fathers day. I usually go to Abel lake every monday morning at 6 am and fish for a couple hours. But i might take the morning off and rent a jon boat at Motts or Hunting Run. Anyone interested in joining? I am still bass-less, and think (hope, too) that i will have a pretty wide variety of lures.......

do you guys suggest i not get one, based on the complexity? i just dig the way the look, and i fish a few times a week now.. should i stick it out with my spin reel for now?

so I've been fishing with this shakespere telescope rod/reel spinning combo for about 2 months now and cannot stand. I've been looking around for what I would like, and what I would like to pay. Based on sheer simpleness (so I think) I wanted to get a baitcast rod/reel combo. Its $100 at Gander Mtn. Forgot brand, but any input or inside info on baitcast systems? I also don't know how long I should get it. I'm 6 feet, and wanna catch some big fellas. Newb needs help!

When fishing on the weeds, what kind of lure should I use? What is best?

seems like the green sunfish is the only thing i ever catch.. about that size. if i get one that size should i just use it as bait? keep it hooked in the mouth? pretty new to fishing, and trying to absorb all the knowledge i can.

Yea, I took my 3 year old out on a boat there.. Let me tell you.. I could walk on water faster than those guys. Comin back into shore the wind was to our face, and I thought we were gonna go backwards.. I don't have much free time, J, but I'm down to meet up and try it out.
