  1. are you using spinning or casting reels?... also if your fishing in heavy weeds.. braid is best. cuts the weeds like knives... have you tried Fluoro? can get away with larger diameter lines due to it's super low visibility
  2. oh and i forgot to mention i need casting rods
  3. I want two rods only, for 250... thats the goal.. rods that are between 7'-7.5' one mh and the other h. Question on the Bucoo (if anyone knows... ) does the back of your palm come in direct contact with the blank on the split grip? with this particular model? Nice looking rod though... the e21 is really what I'm looking at the most... but problem is I'll have to get them from cali... but I'm leaving the country to go back to Korea on the 8th and need them before i leave... so if i can get something just as good quicker, then that's what i want to do... that's why I'm in a pickle
  4. if i could have caught those when they were on sale for 40 bucks it would have been a no brainer .. but my 250$ budget is really tight and 280 is something i just cant swing... you may ask then how the e21s? i have a deal lined up... but the falcons have just joined my list... thanks for making it harder to choose ... although they may have bumped the prodigy... thanks for the adivce and please keep it comming
  5. In the next couple of days I will be spending 250$ on rods (the wife is out of town.. lol) I want to buy 2 split grips Here is 3 brands i'm thinking about... St Crox mojo E21 Carrot Stix Cabelas Prodigy What are your thoughts? other suggestions are welcome also, thanks.
  6. not that good looking (lol)... but sound... thanks
  7. That is because you are fishing in dense cover that is the same color (most likely) as your line If you are not fishing in heavy cover or in stained water why would you want to use braid? Use a 100% Floro that is high quality.. (BPS XPS for ex) just as manageable on spinning tackle... but if you wanna go braid.. Power pro and stren are really good.
  8. Also to if it's a cheap reel and you have been hard on it you might have striped the drag which means you'll have to buy a new one...or replace the main gear and drag washers
  9. I was thinking of buying this real also... Here are the reels I have.. Cheapest to most expensive... BPS Bionic... BPS Extreme x2... Quantum tour pt.... My wife doesn't let me spend alot of money on gear but house reels are not all that bad in fact my two extremes get more use and outperform the Q tour pt that i own.. super light cast just as far if not farther... smoother and all around ...better.. I live on a lake and by that I mean I can fish from the deck on the house... I fish every day and my equipment gets a lot of use... and the Extremes bare the brunt of it.. and i paid 40$ for them on sale.. I wish I could sell the blue pt... if any one wants it make me an offer... So is there anyone who likes this reel?
