- KDM, NS Black Hole Rods... so pretty
I really like the white one...- KDM, NS Black Hole Rods... so pretty
Now that's just brutal, thanks for the tease. thats why it was called KDM (Korean Domestic Market) When i get there i might have to start a store and sell this stuff state side... here is a compny called dongmi with a nice rod.. Here some KDM Reels that i found.. kinda cool and all less than 100 bucks- KDM, NS Black Hole Rods... so pretty
I have a link but it's in Korean... http://dasolfishing.co.kr/shop/shopbrand.html?xcode=017&type=X&mcode=009 These Rods are not for sale here in the states here are some more pics from this company that last one you liked- KDM, NS Black Hole Rods... so pretty
Man my wife is going to be ticked.. i'll post some more from other Korean Rod companys later- How big is my bass?
and you have my last name.... don't know why but i always like to say that to people with my last name.. like it's rare or something lol- How big is my bass?
Here is a good tip.. next time you go out and don't have a scale or ruler then use fishing line to measure length and girth then measure when you get home... also you look like a big guy (no offense) hold your arms with a cloth tape in about the same width. and add 3 or four inches for the tail.. if you get 19 or more inches you have a good fish in my book... any thing over 19 I take photos of for my fishin book the rest get set free right away. 19 inches usally gets high 3's to low 4's. another tip is know how long your rod is from reel to first guide... then you can do a guess-tamate- Drop Shotting Line
you heard right .. 6-8 lbs Fluoro will work nice... I use 7#... Mono works too if your not fishing in gin clear water or around sharp stuff like rocks and docks and trees... there is no need to use braid There are a lot of braid junkies in this group lol of course you need a 7' ML rod with the drag set right... and the only time you should be worried about breaking is if you get snaged.. i've pulled in 6&1/2 lbs cats on my drop shot rigs befor and even with their hard runs it was fine, man it was fun though lol- Need a new rod
My vote is for the Ugly Stick Lite Pro (Wall-Mart Exclusive) It's not ugly, Cork handles, Fuji reel seat, Fuji, Insert Guides, No see through tip. Good looking blue thread wrap.. 36 bucks, 5 year Warranty and it's wal-mart they take back everything.... Heck if she breaks this stick from misuse and you can't get it replaced for free then I'll buy you a new one- Swimbait/Big bait reel?
This is probably going to be my next purchase... What reels do you all use?, What gear ratios? and your thoughts.. I'm new to the whole swimbait game... and so far just thrown the ones under an oz but wanna try and step it up into the big boys.- Falcon BuCoo and Shimano Citca 200E review
web site says 8 but i don't know if thats counting the tip... i'll count in the morning and let you know- Rapala X-Rap
you probably have the same problem my dad has when fishing theses baits. he is really stiff and kinda predictable... I told him to try this and it work for him to mix things up loosen up and make it a little more erratic.... just cast it out and sing jingle bells in your head you da da da, da da da , dut dut da dut da, and jerk on the notes... switch from chorus to verse and you get two different retrieves.. which ever one gives you the most bites stick with..- Rapala X-Rap
great lure for the pre spawn probably cought 70or 80 just on this lue alone this spring...- How do you match the forage base?
well in rapala's dt series the make an awesome bluegill pattern... two watermelon candy by zoom is a great bluegille color and if the water is really staned then anything in fire tiger...- How do you match the forage base?
I match the hatch 100 % of the time..- Opinions wanted...Rod Purchase
Weight is really important when your on the water for twelve hours straight. In the summer cause of the heat our local club holds night tournaments... Unlike the day tourneys that are 8 hours in spring and fall, we fish from 7pm to 7am with a weigh in half way through... they made it that way so people could go home at night if they wanted.. but who in there right mind is going to do that when there's fish in the lake and money on the line? I swear that after the first 8 hours I thought my dang arm was going to fall off shoulder burning like I had lifted weights all night... if I would have had this last month it would have been different... It's a shame I gotta go back to Korea the very same day of the next Tourney... or i might have pulled off my first win- Opinions wanted...Rod Purchase
lmao, you're kidding, right? Have you fished with a steez rod? I have the 7 mh and I can honestly say the mojo feels just like it except for the cork handle. except the steez is like 3oz lighter and way more sensitive 3 ounces? : and more sensitive for $300 : your comparing apples to oranges man...plus a lifetime warranty..ALL fuji components, the aluminum foregrip nut, waaaay more technology is in that steez then the mojo could think of,i to have both and blindfold me and i can tell the HUGE difference between the two thats like saying a corvette is the same, just as good or better then a Ferrari : agreed. The Mojos are blown away by the Avids which are then again blown away by the Legend Tournaments let alone a friggin' Steez. sweet_daddy, are you fishing with mittens on or do you have prosthetic hands? No, and where I fish most men don't need light low profile reels, and a high dollar rod to catch fish. Man your the one who brought it up and said you had a steetz and it was the same as your mojo.. but in the end ... Let the thread die I already bought the dang rod 3 days ago... No one has said the Mojo is a peice of crap.. it's a nice rod but it is Not even a Corvette IMO. It's more like a Jetta... Nice car looks good and gets the job done, when it's brand new it's sweet to show off to your friends but it'll be in the junk yard in 10 years not a sunday driver.. know what I mean? My BuCoo's will be hanging in old gear heaven someday too when i get better stuff doesn't mean i don't like them or excited about it.. I still really like and use my Ugly Stick Lite Pro's from Wally world... dang things will last for ever .. allready have rigs set up and planed to hand down to my two boys (1 and a half and 5 months) for when they are old enough to master the caster...- Reel trouble
Word lol... If my wife new how much money i have spent over the last two years on Tackle I'd probably be looking for a new wife- 25+ Old Shimanos, still going...
I have 2 Shamono Bantams from the 70's that I got from my dad and they still work perfictly... They are older than I am. Can post pics if you all want to see them.- Falcon BuCoo and Shimano Citca 200E review
I wanted to let you all know about the new combo I just purchased. I am now the owner of a Falcon BuCoo 7' MH Rod and a Shimano Citca 200E reel. First the Rod. I asked around on this forum about rods in the 100-125$ price range and was turned on to this little gem, Falcon rods new series called BuCoo. It's a new series of rods that where just released before ICAST in June of 09. I called every Falcon Dealer in the St. Louis area and finally found one at Bass Pro in St. Charles. When I say one, I mean 1. I walked around the store for hours looking at all of their rods in this price range handling them comparing sensitivity, balance, power, and in the end, cost as well. while I was impressed and liked many of the rods for example the Kistler line of rods, and the steez rod by Team Diawa, The falcon line of rods really impressed me. They have got to be some of the lightest and most balanced rods out there, If I had the money I would have bought the Cara T7 series but rolling in at about 179$ + or - depending on length and action, I just could not fit it into my budget. The Falcon BuCoo series on the other hand was just as light and balanced as it's big brothers. The Bucoo has fuji ECS reel seat and guides, 100% made in the USA high modules graphite blanks and a eva foam split grips. The real seat is placed exactly on the blanks center of gravity and when holding the rod there is zero tip heavy pull on your wrist. This is extremely important for long days on the lake. One of the other rods I was looking into was the St. Crox mojo series. While I believe that this rod seemed to be just as sensitive as the Bucoo it was all together heavier in weight do to what I think is caused by cork handles and being finished all the way to the tip. The rod was Tip heavy. On the water While I have not yet hooked in to a fish big enough to really test the rods strength and back bone I have got a real chance to test it's sensitivity. Due to the hooks location in the fish's mouth which tends to be in the back top area of their mouth it seems I'm detecting bites much sooner then I was with my Bionic Blade from BPS, hooked normally in the outer mouth. I am also able to detect bottom texture and solidity much better then with any of my other rods. I am very pleased with the amount information being transmitted through this rod and into my hand. it has become my new soft plastic and finesse jig combo. Shimano Citca 200E All of you Shimano fans out there should know of this series quite well. but the new E generation of reels from Shimano is outstanding.. The Citca is built on the same all aluminum frame as it's big brother Curado and has most of the same features. It has less bearings and different hand grips and I'm sure some other small differences. In short though it is the same real. I like the paint Job on the Citca better than the Curado, It's a silver metal flake instead of a forest green metal flake. The reel is amazingly smooth and would easily allow 50 foot pitches with out straining my wrist, (i walked it off). lets me roll cast farther then any of my other reels. Including the Quantum TE1107PT Which cost 130$ more. It's a great reel and now my Favorite reel. Conclusion. The entire combo weighs less than 12 oz including line, just awsome. Falcon BuCoo 109.99 plus tax Shimano Citca 200 E 119.99 plus tax BPS XPS Fluorocarbon 17# test 19.99 plus tax Bass pro should be getting more, and Cabelas said they would get some soon.- Who makes the Gander Mountain Guide Series Rods and the Bass Pro Rods?
Stereotype much? Lol, just kidding of course. I agree with what you said about taking pride in work though, they are feeding their familes and they are going to do a good job or another person who is waiting in line could scoop up the job in an instant. I just bought a Gander Mtn. brand rod AND reel, and so far i am loving it lol. its my first baitcaster though, i've only been fishing for about two years now, not even, and i'm still learning. My GM brand rod and reel is bringing in fish though! So i've no complaints. um i lived in Korea for 4 years .. my wife is Korean.. and well they are anal.. being anal is not a bad thing.. and when it comes to attention to detail.. it's a good thing...dobyns rods are made in Korea.. most likely by the same guy who makes Damiki rods... but you don't here people talking about damiki rods except us JDM freaks .. I'm a KDM freak too just not a whole lot out there yet- What line?
un less your fishing in th jungle 14-17# Floro is perfect... some of the guys here use braid all the time... I wouldn't and i bet they would get a lot more bites if they would use floro... I only use mono for top water. Braid is not new... got some old stuff from the 60's in my gpas old box... braid has it place just like any thing else... no line is good all the time...- Changing Hooks on Cranks
i just use a small screw driver- Newbie comparisons Shimano Citica, Castaic, Curado
I love my Citca.. and so did the guys at tackle tour giving it the editors choice award, dieferences... handle grips. 3 more bearings. thats it... with 3 more bearings of course it,s going to be smoother,,, but i love the citca.. i would trade my Quantum TE1107PT for a CI200E in a heart beat - KDM, NS Black Hole Rods... so pretty
