At what point
At what point or depth does the action of a rod really start to become an issue with treble hooks? I have had no problems with a F / EF action on a rod with treble hooks in the 6-10ft range. I'm guessing you want M action in the 15-20+ foot range? Is that an accurate statement? What depth have you all found the action to start ripping the trebles out?

Man some of the spinners I have... I go swimming for if I get them snagged up.

Boyd Duckett Dumps E21
I heard Bernie Madoff had good ###s too.

Carrot Stix are Orange...........snookums
Dink, I think by new to rods he was not referring to posters but saying E21 was new to rods.

attractants, which one?
I like megastrike, easy to apply and does the trick.

Carrot Stix are Orange...........snookums
I like mine quite a bit. It has a solid backbone and is very light, for the price and a lifetime warranty I think its a solid product.

LaserLure Ikes Beatdown
Not yet and not sure if I will or not, leaning towards not though. The advertising is just that... Ike even says in his book the air time and promotions are just for the sponsors. Where it says the "custom painted" that's very gimmicky, Ike has lures custom painted before every tournament he fishes to match the forage the way he thinks it should.

No bass, crappie/gill population?
Well I didn't do that exactly but I did match the forage... I threw a blue gill swim bait for awhile with no success.

No bass, crappie/gill population?
Was a small bay off Lake Monona, with a break wall around the edge holding about 4fow at the edges, a gradual decline out to about 10fow. A weedline along a small ledge and a single small pier.

No bass, crappie/gill population?
I thought that as well DM, but I couldn't locate any real ambush points besides 1 weedline that I worked pretty hard a break wall and a small peir that all were worked as well. I know where the bait fish are the bass will be, is the usual way things work. But does it still remain that way with little structure, few ambush points? I guess what I was trying to decipher is how long I should have stayed there, the fish were active and there were a ton of bait fish but I didn't catch or see a single bass.

swim bait reel?
I'll probably be looking in the 150-200 range for the reel to pair up with that rod. Probably look at something in the 5.x.1 range possibly. I like the AG reels, have a revo stx now, just that the 5.x.1 may be to low of a gear ratio for me to use this rod for dual purpose for heavy flipping.

No bass, crappie/gill population?
If you all wander upon a spot and your catching say crappy or gills, is it unlikely there are bass there? I went to a spot and caught about 3 crappie and a gill on my 5" senko wacky rigged and one on a spinner bait. Not a single bass though, most of the crappie and gills were about 5-8". I thought to myself, that there must not be bass here, or the crappie and gill population wouldn't be so high, they would have bullied them away or eaten them. Not sure how entirely accurate it is, but was something I was questioning while fishing that area.

what am i doing wrong?
There 's an old say: 90% of the fish are in 10% of the water, 90% of the fish are caught by 10% of the anglers. It 's not a matter of if there are fish, you know there are fish, but where is the tricky part, fish are not evenly spread all over the water, most of the water is fishless. Raul, you should change your avatar to Yoda with that kind of advice ;D That water, fishless it is MMmm

Finally !
Very nice man! What is the yearly slot limit on those in California? Only 1 in WI, and has to be between 46 and 66" if I remember correctly.

Favorite Swimbait? (actual swimbaits )
I like the tru-tungsten 4" tru-life in blue gill and baby bass. If they made a yellow perch version I'd have a few of those for sure. Haven't tried a heavier version yet as I don't have a dedicated swim bait rod. I saw the new SPRO BBZ-1 shad at the shop today, debated buying it but passed on it until I could read some reviews. Glad to see you are all liking it, I may grab it then.
