First bass caught!
i would definately be picking up some topwater frogs to fish in those weeds. 1 small bass is all it takes. i too caught my first descent sized bass while catfishing. it took my night crawler. i eventually forced myself to try to become a believer in the soft plastic lures. a lil paitence and one Dink is all it took to get me hooked on a trickworm

Tackle for a tough lake.
if you on lake jackson in butts county Georgia. ive had some success with a trickworm weightless small bass here. other than that... bring some chicken liver or night crawlers and you'll have no problem tearing up some Cats if you give up on the bass

how do you fish the horny toad
havent done much frog or topwater fishing. had a pack of rage toads. got 1 2lb bass on those. just not very durable. considerin trying these aswell. do you fish them same as you would rage toad. just reeling it across top of water? or do you twitch it back so it looks like a hopping frog. let it sink at all? twitch pause twitch pause? let me know. thanks

My first boat finally
got it a few weeks ago. a half uncle of mine who i dont reall know much found out my bass obsession and said told my dad i could have his boat. so we went and picked it up at his uncles house. been sitting for years outside. with a few hundred spiders and grand daddy longlegs in it... nice. got it washed cleaned up. looks good now. spent a few days fiberglassing cracks and bad spots. plus. my dads boss had a bass boat sitting in his warehouse for a long time and he got rid of the boat but left his motorguide 56LB troller motor and lowrance x75 fish finder in the warehouse. said we could have it. so thats another $5-600 worth of stuff for free. had to take apart the massive deck mount that was on the motor. and kinda custom made my own setup with some wood and part of old bracket. i got really lucky on all this i guess my 2-3years of paitence paid off. taken boat out 3-4 times. and have yet to catch fish from it haha. great luck. just got lowrance hooked up for last outing. still figuring it out... well heres the pictures may be labeled "stalker II" but i personally named it "the floater" referring to a turd that wont sink anybody else got these things goin around? any tips or ideas for anchor/anchoring system. little bit of wind will take me to other side of lake before i can reel in my worm

Any body fish out of one of these
well picked it up today. happy as can be. gotta go pick up the other seat from his house. (boat was at his uncles) but spent the day cleaning it. fiberglassing cracks. etc. nearly ready for water now. just registered it online. so far the only money spent was $14.99 for fiberglass resin. i also got a free troller motor from the warehouse my dad works in. his boss took it off his old bass boat and its been sitting (rich fookers) its a 56lb Thrust i saw the same troller in 40lb version today at walmart for $475 so picking this one up for free.... i think i got a good deal hahaha. had to take apart the huge deck mount that was on it. and customize it a lil. got a few pictures. so im quite happy as ive only bought resin and registration. now i just need to invest in a battery charger and a few more bolts for the mount we rigged up and im Set for the water had about 4 years of dirt, spiders and snails embedded onto the boat almost finished

thanks guys. sounds like itll do me good. luckily the new resevoir i plan on fishing alot allows no gas motors. so i wont be worrying about people wakeboarding, jet skis or anything else. just other fishermen trolling around.

- Any body fish out of one of these
hey. im a shore bass man. been wanting a lil jon boat or somthin for ever and today an uncle of mine ive only met like twice told my dad he'd give me his 2seater boat, my dad said its the pontoon style 2 seater. and its wired for 2 trolling motors something like this im guessing... anybody ever fish out of this style boat? any comments. i know i wont be taking it in any rough or fast water lakes but how do they do?- Do you name them?
< sexy lady to the left right there is named Elizabeth girlfriend named her. haha if we ever have a girl were naming her after my fishing rod- I'm sorry but the brush hog is god!
i went out and bought a pack of them today after seeing your post to try em out. didnt have a chance till dark in a creek. but i caught a <1lb dink on one after a horrible cast i was trying to get the lure back out of the water fast as possible, less than a foot off the land little fish took it. hopefully try it at a real pond or lake tomorrow. the action looks promising- weighing bass?
thanks thats what i needed to know- weighing bass?
where is the best place to place the hook while trying to weigh a bass with a digital or dial scale, without hurting that beautiful bass?- fishing for bass
only things i seem to bring in other than some kind of bass would be catfish of somesort. and the infamous fish shaped like a tree branch- First Topwater Bass!! thank you RAGE TAIL
so im out bowfishing for carp earlier today in a lil creek near my house that comes out of the counties water authority. and before leaving i decided to open up my new pack of Rage Tail Toads, i think watermelon color. cant remember. baitcaster was at home so i got my spare spinning reel used mostly for catfish. just wanting to test out the new toad see how it swam. first cast horrible wind took it down creek and like 2ft off shore. haha. 2nd cast landed beautifully up creek. started reeling back 20yards out BAM bass came out of the water and swallowed that toad. immediately i reared back setting the hook and he went back down. didnt take long but i had him on the bank. bout as excited as ive been fishing in a while. so much better than the subtle bites of a trickworm or senko floating in the water.... well i loved it. gonna go back tonight when the sun gets lower and cools down a little see if i can hook another... girlfriends out of town and i got nothing else to do. haha anyway heres the pictures. not sure of weight im guessing 2lb? i havent weighed enough bass to be able to guesstimate precisely. what yall think. it was pretty fat- Lures you DON'T use?
im no pro bass fisherman. but im the same way but i find myself fishing senkos and other rubbers cause i know i can catch fish on them. im trying to use jigs and other similar lures now so ill JUST go out with one tied on the line and maybe another one or 2 in pocket so im forced to fish with it, practice and hope to catch with it- anyone using the zoom trick worms?
great worm. the first Lure/plastic bait i ever caught a bass on. currently out of trick worms so i havent used them in weeks. and ive been starting to use senkos. but trickworms never fail- good all around jig color/trailer combo
alright. me and my girl are goin up to bass pro next week. she wants a jacket for our anniversary and i need a new rod cause mine cracked. so ill probaly pick up a few diff jigs while im up there - Any body fish out of one of these
