  1. BPS should be loaded with them. I'm there twice a week...theyll be on the end cap and in the aisle.. Definitely a top 3 soft bait in south Florida
  2. Congrats to you also, Bruce. It's nice to see some good guys finish well. My buddies Mike (Mikeyballz) finished 2nd and Joe Holland 3rd. Keep it going guys!
  3. Bass N Fools had their year end classic out there also Sunday. We let those guys go out first. Tim Feller won that one with 13 something. Feller is one of the (if not THE) the best tourney anglers in Florida right now. And he had been hammering em out there. So we were pretty pleased with what we got.
  4. Robert, yeah there's water in the flats. Those guys struggled with the cold, though.
  5. Well, Leo and I won Bottom Line Mike's KOTG club tournament out of Holiday Park yesterday. Weighed just shy of 20lbs. Was a nasty cold day for South Florida...my thermometer was reading 39degrees when I pulled into the park. That was one cold ride at 70MPH in the AM. Saw a couple of the guys here. It was nice to finally meet Dave (Salmocoptrus). Any one fishing the Channing Crowder tournament on 1/31? First prize = $10,000. A lot of FLW pros coming down to fish it. Going to take a lot more than 20lbs to win that one, but it looks like we're gonna give it a go.
  6. Congratulations Fred. That is a nice bag on a difficult day.
  7. Montanaro, check your PM. Thanks! Mike
  8. Rob, the next two are at Holiday Park then April back at Okeechobee, I believe.
  9. I fished the KOTG Sunday. Leo and I finished 19th out 61boats with ~12lbs. Fishing was pretty tough with the Collegiate tourney and the BFL the four days prior. We found some good fish in the slop, but we would lose most of em in the hay. We left a lot of weight out there (as did many other guys). Winner was Hank/Skip with 19.5lbs. Royer/Royer was second with 19. Lendl had a really good field Sunday...most of the sticks from the everglades showed up as did many of the BFL/Okeechobee studs (Ruiz, Donny Bass, Surman, Jared McMillian, Stinson, Val, Mikeyballzz, Medlin...)
  10. Montanaro, We got our 3X8X4 bearings in today. I can set you up with bearings for your Lexa. Just send me an email at support@hawgtech.com. Thanks! Mike
  11. Nice write up Jeff! That Pinnacle with the Hawg Handle and gold accents looks sweet!
  12. Wow, Goose, that looks great. I really want to get a Calais one day.
  13. Another vote here for McCoy Mean Green. My partner Robert got me turned onto it. Strong and very low memory.
  14. ghoti, I have the 5X11X4 but not the 3X8X4. Yet! It's next in the queue. Mike
  15. Oh, and to answer your question. Eventually, I would like to be able to do spools. However, I need to do a lot more verification before I can offer it as a service to our customers.
  16. Fishwhittler, Thanks! It's true that our products are a little more "bulky" than some of the other CF handles, but that is by design. Robert and I wanted a handle that would be stronger than the typical JDM handle. "Zero flex". I wouldn't trust 90% of those JDM handles to winch a bass out of the Okeechobee slop. And for being supposedly "bulky" our handles are some of the lightest out there. 94mm straight handle= 25.5 grams 102mm swept handle = 24.5 grams (Total weight with knobs) When we do come out with a finesse handle, I don't think anybody will be able to touch us in terms of weight....I'm targeting under 20 grams.
  17. I invite you to check out our bearings. As a Mechanical Engineer with +20 years experience, I'll put our bearings up against Boca, ZPI, hedgehog, etc... Our bearings are true ABEC7 certified ceramic hybrid bearings designed to my specifications. Robert and I stand behind everything we sell. We have a lifetime warranty on everything. We have sold many hundreds of handles and thousands of bearings with ZERO returns.
  18. JRob is correct, our handles will accept all Shimano knobs in addition to our cork knobs. Thanks! Mike, Hawg Tech, LLC
  19. Livewell Hero, I've sold a bunch of handles for the T3 Ballistic. Also, regarding customization....I've also recently started offering custom stripping/anodizing for customers who want to match up the accents on their reel with the handle accents. I am really happy with the results. If you'd like more info, you can contact me directly at support@hawgtech.com And I can assure you that all our handles are "pure" carbon fiber. 3k twill CF throughout all layers. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=598558600180046&set=a.400118190024089.76626.400113070024601&type=1&theater
  20. Reminder: you have about 12 hours left to take advantage of our 20% off sale. To all of you who have already purchased...THANK YOU! If you have any questions or need help setting up an order, just send an email to : support@hawgtech.com Mike Hawg Tech, LLC
  21. Yeah Donny Bass/Mikey Keyso caught 32. Dillon McMillan/Durand Locke 2nd with 27. Fell off pretty quickly after that...Brandon/Jared McMillan with 22. Me and Leo weighed 15. Had a couple +8lbers around beds, but the +20MPH winds Sunday made sight fishing impossible. Actually felt pretty good about what we caught, didn't leave too much weight out there but it obviously wasn't going to be enough. Bass/Keyso also won the Saturday tournament with +26lbs and big fish. Those guys are on a tear.... https://www.facebook.com/hawgtech#!/photo.php?fbid=594982693870970&set=a.400118190024089.76626.400113070024601&type=1&theater
  22. Leo and I weighed 15lbs yesterday...finished somewhere around 15th. Loaded the boat with 2.5-3lbers and just could not get that big bite. We had a nice (untouched) bedding area that had some big females the week before, but they moved out. We flipped all the staging areas around the area but those big ones were nowhere to be found. Hard to stay on those fish, when you fish the lake 2 times a month... Anyway, at least a few people were on the big ones....Donny Bass/Mikey Keyso won with 32lbs (two 9lbers!) McMillian/Locke 2nd with 27 and Jared/Brandon McMillian third with 22.
  23. Sounds good! For those interested, I am extending the "Black Friday" special to start now for bearings. If interested, just send me an email at support@hawgtech.com. Ask for the Bass Resource 20% off "Early Black Friday" deal on bearings. I will need to wait until Thursday on offering the handles for 20% off...as we need time to prepare inventory. Thanks! Mike Hawg Tech, LLC
  24. Repost as a reminder that our 20% off sale starts Thursday (Thanksgiving) and runs through Sunday night. (Original thread lost in the crash) Bass Resource members: list your login name with your order and I'll throw in a free "Hawg Tech" Sticker. These things are big and beefy...just like the fish you're gonna catch with your new bearings/handles from Hawg Tech.
  25. Who is doing Giblets and Gravy tomorrow? I went up Thursday, trying some new water. Didn't find much. I feel pretty good about the stuff we have, but we're gonna need a few of those big ones to bite, tomorrow. If you see me out there give a holler. We're boat #2.
