Quality Tackle Bag
http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/pod/horizontal-pod.jsp?_DARGS=/cabelas/en/common/catalog/pod-link.jsp_A&_DAV=MainCatcat20166-cat20327_TGP&rid=&indexId=cat20327&navAction=push&masterpathid=&navCount=1&parentType=index&parentId=cat20327&id=0060415 I just picked up the Cabela's Pro Guide 3700 bag with boxes for $24.99 from the online bargain cave. I'm very happy with it, though it's pretty big, and sometimes I wish it was a bit smaller. I'm thinking of going with all 3705 boxes for it, and then I can throw those into a smaller bag with specific boxes for what I need, for the times that my buddy and I go out on his small jon boat. The 3600 bag really is a better size, but for the price, I couldn't pass it up. Keep your eye on their site, as they've been going on and off sale for the last few weeks.

Cabela's Prestige Spinning reel
By the way, I'm pairing this with an almost new Cabela's Tourney Trail rod that I picked up for ten bucks from a co-worker. So for thirty five bucks, I've leaped far ahead of what I started with this season, which is my first serious season of bass fishing.

Cabela's Prestige Spinning reel
Oh, don't worry, I'm accumulating a master list of my "go-to" spinning reel right now! What do you like?

You guys will know it's me......
A buddy of mine said the smallies were hitting Senkos like crazy on the Connecticut River not far from the Enfield boat launch.

Cabela's Prestige Spinning reel
Thanks guys. I was only interested so that maybe if I knew if there was a "sister" model by a "name" brand, I could pick up a spare spool. I'm on a budget, but I'd like something a little better for at least the rest of this season. The Prestige for $25 bucks (instead of $50) is going to be far better than the $10 Ready2Fish reel that I have now. This isn't going to be the last spinning reel I own.

Casting wacky vs. T-Rig
Who cares how far they go, its WHERE you put the bait that counts with a Senko. Its a "spot on the spot" bait.
-
Casting wacky vs. T-Rig
Yeah, kind of what I was thinking, but then I thought that I might be over thinking it.
-
why cant we have one of these in the United States?
OH Hell Yeah!! Even better, combine it with a "wife" party (i.e. Pampered Chef, Avon, Tupperware, etc.) The ladies can assemble in the house, guys in the garage, basement, man cave, etc. You're still doing something together, right? Though it'd be a double hit on the wallet that week.

Casting wacky vs. T-Rig
Is there any noticeable difference in casting distance when rigging a 5" Senko wacky vs. T-Rig?

Cabela's Prestige Spinning reel
I just ordered a Prestige spinning reel from Cabela's. I was just curious if anybody knew which company made this reel for Cabela's. Thanks!

takin' a woman fishin....
Awesome! I want to take my wife out, minus child, this weekend so she can finally land a quality fish. She's really starting to get into it, but when we go we always have our two year old, and she's usually chasing him around in between casts (because she wants to let me fish - which is why she rules!). Hopefully I'll have a good report like this one soon.

Sam got a 2 footer today
Nice fish!!

So I finally figured out why people like Senko's so much!
That seems to be how it is when you first start catching fish on them. I'm in my first year of serious bass fishing. My success has been spotty so far, but I've had most of my luck on the Senko, and the more fish you catch on them, the better you can feel the "tick" when they grab it.

Sickly 96 Johnson 150
Ok, I don't know anything about marine motors, however.... Last year I had the same problem with my lawn mower. After cleaning, checking, replacing everything I could think of, it was off to the shop. I didn't even have it off of my truck and I was told it was vapor lock. The guy took off my gas cap, saw that the insert to keep the gas tank vented was missing, put a new one on, and there has never been a problem since. This was just the first thing I thought of when I read your post. Best of luck!

Best Way to Transport Rods and Reels
I've been looking for something like this myself. I have a small SUV (Mazda Tribute) and windshield to back window is just about the same length as my 6' 6" rod. I like the no drill strap idea, but I don't know if it would mount well in my short SUV. Let me know how you guys make out with this if you try it.

Fishing with friends... Bad or Good?
I skipped work today, called a buddy of mine up who was just getting out of work, we met up and went out on his little row boat for a few hours this afternoon. The bite wasn't great, though I did catch my new PB: Being that I work second shift, and am a full time dad during the day, "friend" time is extremely rare and valuable to me. Needless to say, we had an absolute blast! I only caught my one fish, lost another to my own stupidity, but what a great day! Don't always worry about the count. Never take time with your friends for granted.

Worm Storage?
http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1245692747/0#0 I just posed this question a couple of weeks ago. Everyone was super helpful in answering my question too. I particularly liked bassman31783's advice in reply #10 about keeping the worms horizontal.
