I havn't had a chance to handle the new daiwa fuego a bc my local cabelas did not have any in stock. Has anyone here handled these reels? My question is if there is a difference in size between the 2500 and 3000 or is the spool the only difference?

For someone who is on a budget, is the crucial worth the extra $40-50?

I have a fenwick HMG 6'6" medium power, moderate fast action rod that I find to be excellent for small to medium crankbaits and spinners. Not quite fast enough for the soft plastics though so I'm looking to make an addition. Also want to add the 7' medium heavy HMG for larger cranks and spinners but one thing at a time...

Im looking into getting a shimano crucial or compre spinning rod for throwing weightless and t-rigged soft plastics. I really have my eye on the 6'8" medium power, extra fast models. My question is would the extra fast action be too fast? Should I go with fast action instead? It will be paried with a saros 2500. Any other recommendations/suggetions for this application are certainly welcome. Thanks.

Anyone here ever used 12 lb yo-zuri ultra soft on spinning gear (shimano or daiwa, 2500-3000 size)? How does it cast/handle? Would you recommend it when some extra strength is needed? Any alternatives? Thanks.

Hello all. I am relatively new/unexperienced when it comes to bass fishing and have done some research but can't seem to find the answers to my questions. Please redirect me if this has been duscussed prior. However, my question has to do with the differences between the higher end shimano and daiwa spinning reels (specifically the sustain fe vs the new feugo a). What are the differences/similarities between the gearing systems and handles (I know the sustain features a direct drive handle) and which would you recomend? which would be a better reel for bass and some heavier fresh water species as well as some light saltwater species. I know this is a great deal to ask of one reel but I simply cannot afford more than one in different sizes. Anyone with any knowledge/experience with these reels? Thank you.
