  2. Booyah. War Eagle Accent I stick to double willows. Mostly 3/8. Will throw a 1/2 in the fall. White. Chart white for colors. Also throw a blue and white as well b
  3. I have a split grip st Croix premier 6'6" M action. Not fond of the split grip on that short of rod. Was going to get a full grip version of the same Rod. Worth it to move to an avid? I like how the premier M is rated up to 3/4 ounce to handle the bigger walk the dog type baits.
  4. Relatively clear with a little stain. Highland reservoir
  5. Hello, I am wanting to try these baits out finally. Obviously I wish I could load a 3700 box with them but can't. I think my wife would explode. But anyways if you had to pick say 2 or 3 colors to start with. What would they be? I figure a color for sunny days and another for clouds? Is that the right train of thought? Was thing a pro blue and a sexy French pearl to build upon. I'm sure I'll want more lol.
  6. I have an nrx 852s. That 7'0 veritas M is more like most companies MH. That thing was stiff for me.
  7. I also have an e6x 845 I use for squarebills and and cranks. I actually really like the Rod a lot. Light weight and good action. It was what got me to switch more Rods over to Loomis. That being said I would love to have a dedicated squarebill Rod. probably a 6'6" St Croix premier moderate action.
  8. Shimano curado i Sunline reaction fc 6th sense 50x Jackall craws Spro little johns Spooks Whopper plopper
  9. When I got back into fishing I had a wide variety to see what I wanted etc. at one time had lews, pfluger, Abu and Shimano reels. Had duckett, st. Croix, Abu, g Loomis and daiwa rods. Now I'm down to all Shimano reels, 6 g Loomis Rod a daiwa and a st Croix lol
  10. I like biffle bugs and rage tail menace grubs on the swing head. For a crig I like baby brush hogs and lizards.
  11. I've sold all my lews and abus and moved to Shimano. I held out for a long time. I feel like everyone has Shimano around here. I wanted something different. Tried a Shimano and the rest was history. I would put lews a close second. Have 4 curado i's and 2 chronarch ci4's.
  12. I use a 6'6" medium action rods for jerkbaits and topwaters. I just switch the reels out. One with fluro other with mono. I through my traps and other cranks including squarebills on a 7'0" MH mod action crankbait Rod. I love throwing squarebills and hope to pick up a 6'6" cranking Rod for better accuracy in and around cover.
  13. I forgot the color. But it's candy something. Green pumpkin blue and of course any shad color to use on swim jig or chatterbait.
  14. Copperfield for sure. Search YouTube. Video where jt kenney basically says he only uses two or 3 colors. Copperfield is one.
  15. Shoot forgot about Missle, roboworm and senkos
  16. I like them all. I have a tackle hoarding problem I guess Mostly have zoom. But also have big bite, strike King, basstrix, reaction innovations, keitechs, havoc etc. Also love me some gene Larew biffle bugs lol
  17. Buggerman or cavitron. White or black.
  18. If the technique calls for slack line like Texas rigs or jigs I will use a 7 speed. Also use a 7 speed on a topwaters frog. Everything else I use a 6 speed. I don't deep crank yet (no boat) but will get a 5 speed for that.
  19. I have 3 e6x rods. The mh cranking Rod which is great. Also have a 843 MBR I throw spinnerbaits, swim jigs and keitechs on. Just picked up a 6'8" spinning Rod to skip docks and swing grubs with. Haven't had a chance to spool it yet. They are great rods. Lightweight and balance well.
  20. I have owned two ducketts. One a ghost and another a micro magic pro. Both outstanding rods. Kicking myself for selling but wanted to try an NRX and needed the funds for that. The ducketts were both high quality rods with no issues.
  21. I sold my heavy pitching stick that I used 20 pound fluro on with the intent of using up a H action tatula frog Rod for double duty. I have 50 pound braid that obviously I direct tie my frog or Alabama rig. I also want to use this Rod for flipping and pitching as well as football jigs. I didn't frog enough or flip enough to have two dedicated rods. So moved down to one. Do you tie a leader or just direct tie? Was thinking of using the rest of my 20 pound fluro spool to use as a leader.
  22. Going to start spoiling my own line. Any tips or tools you would reccomend? I was going to attach the reel to the rod and have my 8 year old hold the spool with a pencil lol.
  23. GLoomis e6x 843 MBR Rod. 7 foot mh Shimano Curado I 14 pound sunline fluro Z man chatterbait White paca chunk or sk menace grub.
