Reviving a Fish
I usually leave the hook, if I have wire cutters I will cut as much off as possible. Or if you see the barb cut the barb and back it out.

Ok, Ok, Ok, another organizing thread
When they are on sale the bag is 34.99, if not 59.99, but this is the end all bag, to me at least.

Cheap frog setup
Don't know how cheap is cheap to you. But I would get a Abu Garcia Revo SX High Speed 169.99 or a Shimano Curado 200E7 - I think 179.99 new And a Wright and McGill Skeet Reese Frog and Senko Rod, 89.99 If you can find the reels used or on sale, should spend around 200 for a good frogging rig

Anyone own a BPS tackle bag?
Sorry, this is the one that I have. I like it and have used it for 3 years now. x3 holds everything I need and then some. I use it for co-angling. I can even put my lunch and rain gear in the side pockets.

Best rain gear
All my gear is columbia titanium, if you are going to spend 200+ on bass pro gear, I suggest you just buy Columbia stuff. Anything over 1000M waterproofing should be good enough. But this only applies if you ski or snowboard. But in my neck of the woods, you can just go to Sports Authority and buy after season stuff for the fraction of the cost of any Bass Pro or Cabelas stuff. Usually what I do or have done in the past. Just my opinion why not use gear for both uses. I suppose you could do it the other way around as well. But I doubt riding down the mountain with Bass Pro logo on your back, you will get stares LOL.

Best rain gear
If it is cold weather rain gear, if you snowboard or ski just wear that. I spent a good chunk of change to keep myself warm and dry in extreme cold temperature, why not just use that for cold and rain. Probably better than anything supposedly designated for fishing.

A couple trout trips
First off excellent write-up, and second beautiful trout there. Do you mind sharing these places or perhaps other spots where I can hike in like that? Or do you even know some good streams with light/medium off-roading and camping available? Trying to plana summer trip up in the high sierras.

You could try just not taking those things in the water. Though I've never tried to see if a bass will take VISA, so you may be onto something......... I could not stop laughing... now my whole family thinks I am crazy
