In Va when I took the hunting class this year they said the DGIF only requires the blaze orange hat but their debating on that. I wear a sweater that I cut the sleeves off from the Dollar General. I want to be seen. This is from the DGIF website http://www.dgif.virginia.gov/hunting/regulations/general.asp Blaze Orange Requirements When hunting any species during the firearms deer season and youth deer day, every hunter (see exceptions below), or persons accompanying a hunter, shall wear a blaze orange hat or blaze orange upper body clothing that is visible from 360 degrees or display at least 100 square inches of solid blaze orange material at shoulder level within body reach and visible from 360 degrees. Hats may have a bill or brim color or design other than solid blaze orange. Hats shall not be in "camo" style, since the latter is designated to prevent visibility. A logo, which does not detract from visibility may be worn on a blaze orange hat. Hunters using ground (pop-up, chair, box, etc.) or tree stand blinds that conceal them from view must display a minimum of 100 square inches of blaze orange, visible from 360 degrees, on the OUTSIDE of such blinds. This blaze orange is in addition to any worn on the hunter's person. Exceptions Blaze orange is not required of waterfowl hunters, dove hunters, individuals participating in hunting dog field trials, and fox hunters on horseback without firearms. Hunters hunting with archery tackle during an open firearms deer season, in areas where the discharge of firearms is prohibited by state law or local ordinance, are exempt from the blaze orange requirement. Blaze orange is not required during the muzzleloading deer season(s).

with the season at an end or close to it how did everyone make out?? I only manage 1 deer and that is between three of us. The day when I shot this buck I ended losing two nice bucks an 8 and a 6 that morning. Being a noob to hunting I never checked my breach plug and to find out it was clogged. Lesson learned!

And to think you questioned the Carrot stix!!!! lol but no that does suck. I'm sorry to hear did you have shipping insurance or does that matter in this case?

Another great thing about pump shotguns is the recreational fun that comes with it like clay skeet/pigeon shooting. I own several guns and the Remington 870 was my first purchase cause I fell in love with skeet shooting. Also makes for a friendly competition. I also own Tracker 357 mag. and a XDM .40 If someone was to come in my home it would be the shotgun or the .40. From what I was told when purchasing my 357 that they are fast and they travel. What I like about shotguns is that I feel there's an intimidation factor when it comes to close range like in homes. Tomustang- I 'd rather fire off my shotgun than my 357. I just about blow my eardrum the first time I shot my revolver. lol and to think I had ear plugs just didn't have them in.

It's going to be heck of a NFC championship game if somehow comes down to my 49ers and Seahawks battling it out. Division rivals battling it out for the NFC CHAMPS!! But lets say we beat the Hawks while the Ravens claims the AFC? Then we will have two head coaches in the Super Bowl that are brothers. May the best Harbaugh> JIM win. Just wondering have there ever been a AFC / NFC championship game with teams from the same division?

I know I have a total of 8 setups but i primarily only use three at most on the boat. They're my 6'9 M-F spinning for wacky, 7' M-MF casting for cranks, and my 7' MH-F casting for Spinner/ buzzbaits. I do bring along some of the others setups like my jig and shaky with me but I mainly toss out those three most the day. Now if I'm fishing from land like small ponds and such than I would just bring my 7' M-F spinning for chatterbaits since that all I really use on ponds.

I don't use the O-rings. Instead 3/8 heat shrink tubes cut down to about 1/4 or so size, slide the worm through and then place it on the hook. Cast it out and let it sink watching your slack from the line. Always not sure if know it or not but close the bail by hand. From there on it basically much just twitching or raising the rod upwards and letting the worm fall back down watching your slack and the line for the bite. For hooks I usually use 1/0 to 2/0 Owner wacky hooks or Gama wide gap. If need to know about wacky I would PM Wayne P or Sam.
