  1. I just bought 2 revo stx. What line do you suggest that I use on them? Lb. test, mono, flouro, or braid? What works best for you? Thanks, Bigbub :-/
  2. Is there a deadline to register for the roadtrip? Sounds like alot of fun.
  3. Thanks for the info guys, that really helped me out. Thanks again.
  4. The baits are great. Has anyone tried their reels? Lots of bearings and a great price. Just wondering.
  5. That is a very good looking combo, but looks don't catch the fish. Hope you catch alot of fish on it man. Enjoy the HE?? out of it.
  6. I've been told that the best way to attach a flouro leader to braid is with the double uni knot. How do you tie this knot? Any video instructions on the internet? Thanks for any help. "Fish on, get the net!!
  7. Nice fish big guy! Hey any fish is a good fish. Glad to hear you like the switch to the baitcast outfit, Ithink you'll really notice the difference the more you get to fish it. Sorry you lost the fish, but this happens sometimes. Fish on brother.

Sorry there are no pics. Ireally don't know how to get pics up on site. And most of the time I forget to take the camera. Thinking to much about the fishing, if that's possible. LOL. 8-)

Fished our tourney trail fishoff with my partner on Lake Wylie last Sat. nite. Finished 3rd and had 2nd big fish. Had 11.51 lbs. Our big fish was 4.0 lbs. 1st big fish was 4.4 lbs. Caught our fish on SB and TR off rocky banks. Was a very good nite after a long hard summer trail. We won $702.00. Looking forward to next year. ;D
  11. Thanks alot everyone!
  12. I use hi-viz braid on my shakey head outfit. I put a flouracarbon leader on it using double uni-knots. The braid is bright orange and you can really see those lite bites. I use about a 4 foot leader. The fish don't seem to notice the leader, and being able to see the lite bites has improved my catch rate. ;D
  13. Thnks everyone, you really know how to make someone feel welcome. Hey M Starr, I've never been above the steam plant, but would like to know more about the upper end. Maybe when it cools down we can get together and do some fishing.
  14. Hi M Starr! I've been fishing Wylie regularly for about three years now. It's really been tough this summer. I fish the Gaffney SC tourneys on Sat. nites out of Buster Boyd. I think I've put in at Southpoint 1 time. I do fish the Withers cove area some and back down to the lower lake area, Big and Little Allison. I'm still trying to learn the lake myself. Hey maybe we can hook up and do some fishing sometme. Nice meeting you. ;D
  15. Anyone know of any good clubs in these areas? Thanks Bigbub
  16. Thanks and howdy!!! I like the site alot. Would like to talk to some of you that fish Wylie a good bit and swap some info and maybe hookup and do some fishing.

  18. I have 2 of the Black Maxes and I have not had any problems at all. Very smooth reel and casts like a dream. Good reel for the $$$.
  19. Greetings fellow fish-heads. I'm new to the site and I really like it. I fish mainly in NC and SC. Probably fish Lake Wylie the most right now. I like to fish local tournaments, and fishing with my fiance'. Hope to be posting regularly.
  20. Hello, I'm new to the site and really like it alot. Lot of good info on here. I want to get started in lure making and thought it would be best to try pouring plastics for starters. Where is the best place to get supplies, molds, plastic, etc. Any help and pointers would be appreciated. Can you make your own molds? Thanks again. :-/
