Owner Stinger ST-41 Trebles
Correct me if i'm wrong, but aren't the hooks identical minus the fact that the ST-41 is a 2x diameter wire? And isn't the "cutting edge" a property of all owner hooks? I'm pretty sure its on most of the packs of regular hooks, but I could be wrong

Owner Stinger ST-41 Trebles
Are these trebles too thick to be swapping out and putting on my cranks, topwaters, jerkbaits etc? Are the ST-36 a better choice for the thinner diameter wire? Am I at risk for losing some fish?

Standout G.Loomis Rods
What other model G.loomis rods are standouts besides the GLX Jig and Worm rod? Are any of the technique specific ones like the Jerkbait or Topwater rods worth the money?

Topwater Rod
I'm looking to get a new topwater rod that can also possibly pull double duty on another technique if needed. I haven't done too much looking around but I got recommended to the Powell Max glass spook-trap rod.. Looks like a decent rod but does anyone else have any recommendations for me? Thanks for any input

Biffle-O Tube type baits
The only thing you're "supposed" to do with any bait is fish it in the water. I'm sorry, let me rephrase myself, that is the preferred method.

Biffle-O Tube type baits
You are supposed to swim these on the top, looks like a fleeing minnow. That's how Biffle fishes them anyway, it was in an old BASS magazine.

Yo-Zuri H2O Fluorocarbon
Has anyone used this line before? I've had decent success with the Hybrid, but was wondering how their straight flouro was? Anyone have any experience with it?

Pitching/Flipping quetions
Type of structure : Lots and Lots of pole timber along the shoreline and some in the middle of the creek channel. Water temps: 56 where we were at, 54 at bottom of lake. Water clarity: About 2-3 ft visibility, maybe less. Its more stained-muddy where we were fishing at. Other cover there isn't too much a bunch of laydowns and pole timber around where we caught them yesterday. Caught them on a shallow running LC, and the predominate species of baitfish i'm not too sure, but we have gizzard shad supposedly and tons of bluegill and stuff along those lines. Im also fishing on a 650 acre reservoir.

Pitching/Flipping quetions
I really want to know how someone would go about flipping a beaver style bait, what size weight and hook would you be using?

Pitching/Flipping quetions
I'm fishing a tourney this weekend and got a new jig rod coming in the mail and was wondering how everyone is rigging their baits? I caught a bunch of fish today in about 4-8 foot of water crashing cranks into pole timber but I was limited to only one rod at the time, and im thinking if I flip those laydowns and things I might be able to get that big bite. I'll prob be throwing a craw or beaver bait.. What would you do? Are you throwing it on a small jig, or rigging them texas? Is so what size weight and hook and are you pegging or not and what type of line would you recommend? Appreciate any help edit: wrong section mods please move

Looking for new Deep Cranking rod.
I'm looking to get a new deep cranking rod in the next few weeks, I want to for sure get a 7'10 - 8 ft. rod, and I dont want to spend anything too crazy on it, most likely around 250 or under. So far i've come across the Shimano crucial crankin rod which is 7'11" model CRC-C711M, the Shimano cumara reaction series in either the CUC711MH or the CUC711M, and another I was checking out were the Dobyns champion cranking rods in the 804CB model. Is that reaction series cumaras that much better than the crucial line up? Is the extra money even worth the added sensitivity i'd get with the Cumara? Or should I save a little money and settle with the cheaper crucial? Any other recommendations? Apprecaite the help

If you could ask Gerald Swindle one question...
I'd really like to know what these pros would say is the fastest/most efficient way to get to the big leagues. If he was starting out all over again never having fished a tournament in his life, where would he begin? How did he get where he is today and does he have any advice for aspiring anglers that want to be in the same spot he is one day?

VA Bass Fishing Tournaments
Does anyone have a complete list of tourneys that take place in VA or close to here or a couple sites that have some? I know very little about them and I do not own a boat but I want to start fishing them as a co-angler or with my cousin. I've decided that if I could do anything in life that I would love and be happy this is the one thing I want to do, and I need to jump into it now. Appreciate it guys

GLX Jig and Worm
Think I'm going to suck it up and just save up the extra 150 dollars or so and buy one of these bad boys.. I really want one for my dedicated jig and worm rod and I was just wondering if anyone had any recommendations for me? I was looking at the BCR854 model. Thanks

Cumara VS. Loomis IMX
I'm looking to get a new Jig rod/Texas rig rod and I can't decide between the two.. I was looking at the CUC-X72MH cumara or the MBR844C G loomis rod or possibly the MBR843C.Any input is appreciated
-
Looking for a new Jig/Worm rod
As much as I enjoy using my 844 (GLX), it finds much more time as a rod for larger moving baits - big spinnerbaits, smaller swimbaits, etc. If I had to pick a dedicated 1/2 oz. jig rod between an 844 IMX and a Cumara CUCX72MH, the Cumara would get my vote. If we were talking GLX, then the Loomis would get my vote. Appreciate all the responses everyone, I think i'm going to go with the Cumara probably, is the majority opinion that the CUC-x72MH would be better for what i'm looking for than the CUC-72MH? And would the medium heavy be enough to pull a bass out of some cover if i decided to pitch a jig with it too?
-
Looking for a new Jig/Worm rod
I've had my eye on those too, I just wasnt too sure about them.. Would the CUC-72MH be a better choice or would the extra fast tip be ideal? I've kind of narrowed it down to getting one of the IMX's, A cumara, A crucial, or possibly one of the Dobyns rods because i have been hearing great things about them. Anyone else have any input?
-
Looking for a new Jig/Worm rod
I was looking at the G loomis Imx's possibly too, they are a little out of my budget but if they are that much better than say a Shimano crucial or the Dobyns rod I might fork the cash out. Anyone have any experience with these? I do not want to slack on my jig pole so I want to get the most sensitive rod for the money.
