  1. I just started really fishing them for the first time yesterdy and today since i've been reading fall is the time for them, I had decent success, I caught two yesterday that were decent and i caught two today, one which was my new personal best at about 4 pounds and another decent one that was about 2 pounds. I lost another big one right at the boat but thats alright, but it led me to a couple questions. One is what are some ideal spinner bait colors for fishing in clear-semi clear water? I was using a white spinnerbait with tandem willow blades, yesterday the top was gold bottom silver but today i changed it up to silver/silver. What colors should i be using for my blades also? Is a certain color for better for when its cloudy outside vs sunny? What about the types of blades i should be using?
  2. You can loosen the other side and adjust it in or out. Make sure it is real tight when you have it right.
  3. Its a shimano symetre spiining reel. im using yo-zuri hybrid so flouro-nylon blend and its rated 8 lb test
  4. I got my line on my reel today, but sometimes when i open the bail line comes off and gets all around the reel... does this mean it was put on backwards or that there is just too much line on the reel?
  5. Is this difficult? would i be able to do it without any trouble or would it be easier to try and take it to my local tackle shop or bass pro shop and see if they will do it?
  6. There is a brief description and its only 95 there. Never heard of it until now, looks pretty sweet though.
  7. They are sort of like those, but only half a circle.
  8. I just recieved my endura in the mail and on the wires that go to the battery the postive and negative ends did not come with clamps with rubber handles or anything just two open metal ends that look like they would snap on the battery. Is that normal and do i need to get the handles or should they have come with the motor?
  9. Everyone post a link or picture with your favorite jig/spinnerbait trailers. How about everyones favorite Jig trailer for bottom crawling, swimming jigs, and then favorite spinnerbait trailers. Just trying to get an idea and possibly give everyone else an idea of good ones to be using, trying to add jigs and spinnerbaits to my arsenal and dont know where to start
  10. The minn kota one only holds a 24? I was considering the one for 50 dollars but the reviews on the website are pretty horrible and consistent... lack of space etc poor construction.. Anyone have any other recommendations or experience with the minn kota one?
  11. I see I see.... http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/product/standard-item.jsp;jsessionid=NG2EST5X5L0T1LAQBBISCO3MCAEFEIWE?id=0001116014210a&navCount=1&podId=0001116&parentId=cat21310&masterpathid=&navAction=jump&cmCat=MainCatcat21276-cat601333-cat21310&catalogCode=QZ&rid=&parentType=index&indexId=cat21310&hasJS=true How does this one compare to the minn kota one? or are they the same basically? I was about to order some new line off cabelas and saw that they had something similar
  12. So what is this exactly? I would just open it put the battery in there and be good to go?
  13. Thanks for the input everyone, I do not own my own boat I just use the rental boats they have at the lake, Ill be able to just throw this thing in there with the battery right and should be ok?
  14. Care to explain why and what it does exactly? I've never seen one before, our local lake rents us out the same trolling motors but use nothing like this
  15. I received my Minn Kota endura transom mount today, and in the manual it says Warning: To prevent personal injury or damage to property, always install a 60 amp manual reset circuit breaker in line with the trolling motor positive lead as close to the battery as possible. I searched the part and found it here http://www.tackledirect.com/minn-kota-mkr-19-circuit-breaker.html?zmam=73201554&zmas=2&zmac=51&zmap=minn-kota-mkr-19-circuit-breaker Do i need this? Or what?
  16. No minnows definitely are fish haha ;D
  17. Is there a huge difference between the ultra soft and the regular hybrid?
  18. Yes I have seen numerous people on here say yo-zuri hybrid ultra soft is good.. is cabelas the only place to get it? My local bps or dicks wouldnt carry it?
  19. Can anyone recommend a good type of line for my new spinning reel? I bought a shimano symetre 2500 and im fishing it on my shimano crucial 6'8" medium xfast. it says 6-12 lb line, im going to be fishing mainly shakey heads and worms and such on this rod. Im assuming my best bet would be some brand of fluorocarbon? Thanks for any help!

    how is everyone fishing these?
  21. Dude, those videos are crazy!
  22. Appreciate all the input, I ended up purchasing the Endura 50 off wal mart.com it was about 60 dollars cheaper than anywhere else i've seen it so I decided to pick it up.
  23. Well I ended up purchasing the 6'8" M XFAST.. : Hoping that I made the right decision and I wont regret not buying the 7' M Fast in the future!
  24. What would fall under your definition of finesse fishing? Shakey heads and wacky jigs? And worms more of big senkos and power worms?
  25. Similar to the spinnerbait thread. List what you use as your designated worm/finesse fishing rod.
