If you got a birdsnest and pulled it hard that deff could be the problem for one of your situations. Is your line breaking off at the knot where the leader connects to the main line?

I'm in the process of putting some new trebles on some crankbaits and lipless cranks and I've come across a question, I know its not uncommon for people to say upgrade a set of 4's to a set of 2's on larger baits but I was wondering what people do about baits that have say a 4 on the front and a 6 on the back. Would you up both of them to a 2 or would you upgrade the 4 to a 2 and make the 6 a 4? I wasnt sure if doing the former would affect the balance of the lure or anything like that and maybe should be avoided?

You shouldn't. Yes you will catch fish on those patterns even if they are not present but from everything i've learned MATCH THE HATCH.

I got the main piece off the shaft and saw where the broken tbar was and could not figure out how to get it out so i ended up breaking the top off and it slid out, I put the spring on my new tbar and now I can not for the life of me get it back into the hole that will lock it in place. Am i supposed to remove the piece that this goes into before to make it easier? Does anyone have any clue what I am talking about? hahah ;D

They sent me out two new t-bars for a dollar a piece. I am having trouble though I have no idea where this thing goes or how to put it on my minn kota and i'm really trying to get on the lake in the a.m. Anyone have any idea or can maybe walk me through it? and thanks for all the help

Me and my cousin were out fishing a new body of water recently and our trolling motor took a hard hit on a submerged log and broke off or knocked out whatever locks the trolling motor in position so it doesn't swing back and forth when you are trying to move. Its a minn kota endura series, but i'm wondering if there is a replacement part for this or can it be fixed? Does anyone know if their warranty would cover it?

I'm looking to pick up a spinning rod 7' M to make a set up that my friends and family can throw. I'm debating on these two rods most likely, any opinions?

How is everyone storing their tackle? I do not currently own a boat but I do go fishing on a john boat everytime and I'm looking for a good tackle bag to store my falcon boxes and another one to hold bags of plastics. Thanks for any recommendations

I have someone that has a 2005 Z20 and is wanting to get rid of it, they told me they would sell it to me for 10k and that there is nothing wrong with it they just need to sell it ASAP. Its got a 225 VMAX on it and I think it's also the Comanche series. Supposedly less than 200 hours on the motor. Anyways I looked at other sales of the same or close to the same model and all of them were selling for 20,000 plus, so I'm asking the opinions of people here, is that just way too good of a deal and more than likely the boat is messed up big time in some way? If it was legit and I was to go look at it for serious purchase what things would I look for and if we took it on a test run what else would I look for, I've never owned a boat before but have been doing everything I can to save up and get one

Anyone have any experience with these? Whats the difference between the deep flex series and the regular cranking series? I'm looking to get a Shallow/Square bill cranking rod and was thinking about picking one of these up. Are they worth the cash or is there better options?

I recently picked up a couple Spro Bronzeye frogs to try out on my local reservoir and I can not get these things to walk to the side an inch... I'm very good at walking topwater baits like spooks but I couldn't get this thing to sway to the side a bit.. I was throwing it on a 6'5" Loomis topwater rod spooled with 30lb braid and all I could get the bait to do was trudge forward. I tried cutting the legs off about an inch but it didnt help much. Do I need to take the legs off a little more until I can make it glide? Is the rod set-up I was throwing it on the problem? Is there a different technique to walking a frog vs walking a spook?

It's a buzz bait for heavens sake , you are not going to get the distance with it that you do on other baits. I'm stating that my distance is alot shorter than with other set-ups, I can throw my other set-up with 17lb mono alot farther than I can the set-up with 30lb braid, any bait. I'm not referring to buzzbaits only, I also have alot shorter distance throwing my spooks on that rod too. I'm just saying its so bad that it's basically pointless to throw a buzzbait because it will only be worked for about 10-20 feet.

I've been having a really hard time using braid lately, I switched over to that for one of my topwater set ups and I'm having trouble getting a good long cast, with a buzzbait it's almost pointless to throw it because I can barely get it off the boat it seems. I'm using 30lb Spiderwire Ultracast.. If I upsize back to 50lb will that help my casting distance out some? Does the brand of braid have anything to do with it??

Weird. I own a Curado and an STX and I think the curado casts farther no doubt.

I was at one of my local tackle shops the other day and they had a few really old lucky craft baits and I noticed one that was kind of like a frog style looking bait maybe some sort of topwater but I had never seen it before anywhere else, I don't remember what it was called off the top of my head but was wondering if anyone could possibly tell me and if this thing might be worth picking up?

I remember seeing a thread about a month or so ago that was discussing mop jigs or jigs in general but somebody posted some pictures of some really really nice mops jigs they had I think they were custom made but I remember a couple people made a big deal about them also, does anyone recall that thread or can point me in the direction of those jigs? Appreciate any help

Has anyone had any experience with this? I've always just used a regular old worm hook but I was looking at some of the winning patterns from Smith mountain and saw that some of the guys were throwing 1 or 2 drop shot hooks with stick worms wacky rigged for sight fishing. What's the ideal hook for wacky rigging stick baits? Is that a sight fishing only technique with that hook or can I throw that same rig in 10 foot of water and expect good results and not many lost fish?

I think i've settled on getting the 6'8" Med for him, but the only thing im deciding now is whether the fast tip or the extra fast tip would be the better choice.. anyone?
