  1. Got out Sunday and Monday and got good numbers, but the fishing was kind of slow and nothing over a pound and a half. Got them on rage craws, swim jigs, regular jigs, and spinners, but never managed to put together a pattern for the big ones.
  2. You got it. Big spinnerbaits, Jigs and even some top waters is what I'm using right now.
  3. Im taking the boat out Sunday and Monday in the Concord area. Can anybody give me some insight as to conditions such as water temp and if the largemouth are in full feeding mode right now?
  4. I had a succesful weekend of fishing in Plymouth NH on Saturday and some places in North Andover Mass on Sunday. Caught 9 largemouth in total, including a 4 pound 5 ouncer on a rage rooster. I also lost one after a long fight, that was 5-6 pounds. Rage roosters, swim jigs and rage craws in 1-3 feet of water were working.
  5. By far my most successful night fishing lure has been a black spinnerbait with dual colorado blades and a trailer hook. The 1/2 ounce Strike King ones from Dick's Sporting Goods have worked best for me.
  6. Shane, are you going to Highland Lake in Washington or Andover?I'm making a trip up to the Plymouth area tonight for a college alumni weekend, and will be hitting up a few small ponds and Loon Lake in Plymouth. I got my personal best out of a 2 acre pond there in late September, 2 years ago. I am crossing my fingers for similar results this weekend!
  7. How is the water temp around southern/central nh right now? I have been fishing in Northern MA the past week or two and the water is still very warm. I went to lake Cochicewick in North Andover yesterday and the water was around 80 degreese still. Only got 1 largemouth, around 1.5-2 pounds in the half hour I was there.
  8. I have fished the warmwater discharge in Bow many times, and it is very hit or miss. If they are pulling water, you can have an awesome day out there, but when they are not pulling, sometimes there will be half dozen boats in a very small area and no one catches anything. I have fished other parts of the Merrimack during the winter, but the water is so cold that I have never even gotten a bite with artifical lures in December-February. Has anyone else caught fish in the Merrimack during the winter, other than at the power plant?
  9. Nashua Nev, youve been killing them lately! Keep it up. This next week or so is when I have caught all my biggest bass in years past. Anyone notice the fishing moving more shallow in the past week?
  10. Sounds good. Thanks for the help
  11. Wow, that first one is solid! Nice catch.
  12. Arlington Mill Reservoir sounds like a uniqure place for southern NH, since we do not have many reservoires with flooded structure. Has this proven to be a good bass fishery for either Largemouth of Smallmouth for anyone? Please give your thoughts about this place.
  13. As Shane said, the Connecticut is by far your best place for both of those, but there are Walleye in the Merrimack as well if you go down in southern Manchester/Bedford/Merrimack NH. Here is a pic from the NH fish and game website of a 30 inch Walleye caught and released from the Merrimack in 2010.
  14. I fished Pleasant Lake in Deerfield twice last summer. Je1946 gave a good description of it. From the boat ramp, if you follow the lake up the right shore line, there is a public beach about half way up where I caught 2 largemouth around 3 pounds each. Nothing huge, but I bet there are some big ones in there that feed on the stocked trout.
  15. Your tracker would have a tough time with the launch at Long Pond, but you should be fine with it at Gorham. I think Gorham is residents only, but I am not positive... no one gave me a hard time when I went there.
  16. I have fished it before, but I personally prefer Long Pond in Dunbarton, which is only a mile or 2 away from Gorham pond. There are TONS of large baitfish in Long Pond and it gets fairly deep, so I feel it has what is necessary to hold some big largemouth. If you do try there instead of Gorham, look at google maps ahead of time because the boat ramp on Long Pond Road is hard to find and you have to go up a road that looks like a large dirt driveway.
  17. Did you have any luck there Shane? I fished there last fall and got 6 or 7 that were around 2 pounds each. It is tricky to get to though.
  18. If you go from the iron bridge towards the Concord Monitor building and take the train tracks to your right and follow the river down stream you can get down to the other side of where the old d**n used to be at sewalls falls. It is NOT an easy hike to get down there, but I went a few summers ago and you can access the deeper water that people cant get to from the other side of the d**n where everyone usually fishes. Me and clr9933 combined for around 30 smallmouth in about an hour and a half, while a guy and his kid staning on the other side of the dam did not get a bite the entire time. You can also try waiding across the river too if it is really low.
  19. I have caught many 1-2 pounders at NHTI, but nothing good. I also happen to catch poision ivy every time I go there!
  20. Got out the past 2 evenings right around sunset near my appartment in Boston and have been killing them with swim jigs & a rage craw trailer. Yesterday I got a 3.25, a 3.5 and a 3.9 pounder, then tonight I caught this 4 pounder and lost another one that was around the same size. The largemouth here have been comming up into literally 1 foot of water, nearly touching the shore line once the sun sets on these really hot days. Anyone else had good luck in the evenings in REALLY shallow water in the past 2 days?
  21. Thanks Shane & WInniMurph. Ill probablly start in the 10'-12' range and work my way deeper from there if I dont have any luck.
  22. Im heading to Highland Lake in Andover, NH for July 3rd and 4th and plan on catching some smallies. Anyone got recomendations for what depth range they have been getting smallmouth at in the past week or so? Here is the depth map for the lake if that helps. http://www.wildlife.state.nh.us/Fishing/bathy_maps/highland_andover.pdf
  23. If your in the Turtletown/Hoit Marsh area you can also hit up Hot Hole Pond in Loudon which is right in between the two. There is some shore fishing around the boat ramp there, even though it gets crowded in the spring time with trout fishermen. Also on Loudon Road across the street from Everett Arena, you can go behind the big office building and fish the Merrimack from there. I have caught a few decent largemouth in both of those spots from shore. Good luck!
  24. I used to live in Bow and have fished Turee atleast 60 times. I have never had anything huge out of there, but I usually get a few decent bass and some pickerel. Like loo said, you will have no problem with launching the tracker or parking it there. Only bad thing with the place is it gets a lot of pressure on weekends and evenings.
  25. I have fished turkey a few times with my Jon boat and twice with my buddy's bigger boat which is on a trailer. The launch on Clinton Street has a ton of big rocks that you have to navigate around on your way to the water, which is a pain, but you could do it. Ive done alright on the opposite side of the lake from the launch where there are little "islands" of bushes sticking out of the water.
