20 bass between 14" and up to 4 lbs. Also, 20 pike, although most were small. I didnt catch any short bass. I got 15 bass and 5 pike, my partner 15 pike and 5 bass. ;D I also caught a 16" crappie on a tube, which would probably go about a pound and a half. My best 5 would probably have been around 14lbs., including a 3 and a 4lb fish. My partners 5 probably around 8lbs. All of this and i FORGOT MY CAMERA! Not so much that i forgot it, i forgot i had it with me. I wasnt thinking and only ended up getting 3 pics. This was my average size bass, not bad

Went out yesterday. I caught 5 fish, to my buddies 7. Only got pictures of 3 of mine, since i had the camera and wasnt really thinking about pictures whenever i caught a fish. Too bad since one was about 3 lbs. Anyways, heres what i got first fish, caught on a super fluke

favorite color
well the results are about what i expected. But my favorite is one that i havent seen yet. It is a watermelon/purple flake. Another close one is called sandy candy, its my favorite tube color, which consists of a pale green with purple and blue flakes.

Got my first MUSKY!!!!
id give it 18-20 lbs. I caught a pike that was 35" and 15lbs (current pb), but it wasnt nearly as girthy as your esox.

Ribbit
If you are fisihing in open water, a little weight on the hook wont hurt it too much. You can get hooks with lead already molded on it, or you could take the center out of a rubber core sinker and pinch that on. I would stay around 1/16th of an ounce.

Now before i get attacked by everybody for asking an extremley general question with a million possibilities, let me give you a little bit to narrow it down. The situation is this- you are going fishing tommorrow, to a lake that is very lightly fished and quite clear, with a moderatley sandy/weedy bottom, and is fairly shallow through out, 20' or less. You dont know much more about the lake. The weather has been stable the last 3 days, usually sunny and mildy warm, the next couple days are supposed to be the same. You are now anticipating the day ahead, tying on a lure for the next day, to narrow it down even more, its a jigging type lure, not a horizontal, aggresive lure. (jig, tube, worm, etc. etc. NOT crank, spinner, topwater). Now, with the little information that you are prepared with, what color will you tie on to give you the most confidence in your first couple of casts?

Ultra-lite Zen and my headache
Well, this will be a great, very lightweight rod, and is fairly cheap. http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_74043_100003002_100000000_100003000_100-3-2 it comes up to 6'6", which is plenty of rod. If you want something even lighter, you could get one of these http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_44302_100003002_100000000_100003000_100-3-2 If you want something that is really ultra or super ultra light, you will either need to back down to 5'6" or less in length, or go up to 10' in length, generally speaking.
