Weirdest Thing You've Ever Hooked?
A white bass with a leech stuck to the side. Has anyone ever caught an eel I've heard of these being caught before?

What Depth Finder to get?
I'm in need of a new depth finder and need suggestions on what to get. It will be going on a 17.5 ft bass tracker. I've got a cheap hummingbird on the trolling motor that I plan on keeping but I currently don't have one by the steering wheel. I've never really used them much but for depth and temperature, but I really want to start learning and focusing on structure and how to locate the structure that displays on the screen in the water. I'd like to stay below 300 dollars if possible unless the next step up really makes a difference. Please give me some suggestions. Thanks

Fishing in Destin
I'm taking a trip to Destin in July and would like to go out deep sea fishing or go to a lake in that area fishing for largemouth with a guide. Does anyone have any recommendations?

White bass hooks?
I need to buy some hooks for white bass here pretty soon and was wondering what worked best for everyone. I think last year I just used crappie hooks but I'm sure there is something better out there. I will be fishing with live crawdads on the TN river. I was thinking Octopus circle hooks?

Fat Ika help
I've never fished an Ika either and want to give a try this year. Why does everyone lean more towards the fat Ika over the big Ika? Also, what are you guys thoughts on rigging it the way they show it in this video? http://videos.baits.com/wmv/bigika.wmv

Line for Core 100MGFV
I guess I'll just stick to flouro then since that's what I'm use to. Thank you for all the helpful information.

Line for Core 100MGFV
I just got a new core a couple of days ago that I'm going to pair with a 7"2' Cumara rod for mainly jig fishing and need some line help. I'll be fishing lakes and the Tennessee river where the water visibility is pretty murky. I've never fished braid but read where a lot of people on here use it for flippin and pitchin jigs. What's a good flouro or braid for this reel? I plan on fishing some heavy cover but not a lot or all the time. Does braid cast and come off the spool much different than flouro?

How do you organize your crankbaits?

Hooks for Plastics
So every year when I've almost ran out of hooks for my plastics I can't remember for the life of me what types and sizes I used for which baits. I know most work but some sizes have their benefits and work better than others. I mainly try to stick with Gamakatsu or Owner hooks. I'm trying to come up with a spreadsheet this year so I can remember from here on out, and don't have to start experimenting all over. Does anyone have a spreadsheet or word doc put together that they use for 7.5" worms, 10" worms, Big Ikas, Senkos, Rage Tail baits, etc...?

Cumara VS. Loomis IMX
I have all Loomis rods except for one Cumara 6' 8' MH X Fast. I will be buying the 7"2' MH X Fast Cumara soon to pair with a Core 100 MGFV for flipping and pitching. I love the all the Loomis rods and will stick with them for most applications, but I love the Cumaras for finesse. I will say though I've never given the Loomis rods a chance for jigs, worms, senkos, etc. I got a Cumara for this in the beginning and have just always stuck with it. The GLX rods are awesome rods though!

Loomis question
I've never had any experience with this rod but use mostly all G Loomis rods and love them. Here is the description from Tackle Warehouse on what this rod is good for. MBR844C GL3, Line Weight: 12-20 lbs. Fast Action. Another versatile rod, the 844 may be the perfect jig rod and casts spinnerbaits like a dream. Great where there is more cover or deep water situations. Hope this helps.

Reviews and help wanted... What is the best shallow crankbait rod & reel setup?
I use a Daiwa sol paired with a G Loomis CBR 843 crank bait rod. Awesome setup!! You can't go wrong with either.

Shimano stradic Ci4
I love this reel. I bought one and then two weeks later I got another one. I'm very impressed with it. It is very light and smooth. I have mine paired up with G Loomis rods but I think the Cumara spinning rods would be an awesome match as well. I have a Daiwa Sol spinning reel as well and think the Stradic Ci4 is IMO a better reel.

Crossed over to the dark side ...Shimano core 100mgfv
What line do you guys recommend using on the Core 100MgFv for flippin and pitching? Braid or Flouro? What size?
