  1. Is that a photoshopped video Man you guys are wearing them out keep it up!
  2. Just pray youre never fishing a golf course pond while I'm playing golf. If so you better start fishing in a helmet
  3. Another thing to do when using a spoon is to thread a treble hook on your line before tying the spoon. This is another trick Jason Quinn uses.
  4. I cant comment on the product that you mentioned, but solar bat can match your perscription in any of their styles and lense colors.
  5. I like using a medium action rod for the applications that you mentioned. It has a little more whip for longer casts, MH just seems a little stiff for me when using treble hook baits.
  6. Good to see the Tarheels represented in Iowa. Go Heels
  7. Can you replace one of the inserts inside of your guides. I had the old insert but I couldnt force it back in. The rod has about 10 guides and this is the 4th one from the top. I've still been using the rod with no problems so far.
  8. I agree with Burley the XL is the best line that I have found for spinning equipment.
  9. Pline is a great line. Make sure you are tying your knot properly, use the search function and search knots. If you know thats not the case maybe you have a bad batch of line???
  10. Hey If you catch fish, who gives a rats *&* how much your rod or your reel costs. Good luck i'm sure you will land many fish with your new combo. If you wish to upgrade in the future just save a few bucks here and there.
  11. These are good rods. I think you will get more versitility out of a 6'6 medium action 1pc. rod. You will be happy with the way this rod performs.
  12. So where is this lake you speak of?
  13. F.Y.I The bait monkey would never make you buy items to make a lure retriever out of, that is against everything he stands for. If you hang up a crank just break it off and buy a new one, even if you did pay 20 bucks for it. See that is the work of the bait monkey.
  14. That is a crappie minnow
  15. There is no such thing as an ugly keeper size bass
  16. Im from NC and ive been having really good luck on a spinnerbait and a craw #5 shad rap, the bigger fish that ive caught have been in 6ft of water or less.

This may be a little outside of the box but it has worked for me. Throw a spinnerbait with either chartruse or white bldes or a combination of the 2. I have read that fish have trouble seeing flash in windy condition because the chop on the water distorts their vision somewhat. I have caught plenty of fish on windy points using a nickle or gold blade, but in the skinny water i have much better luck with the painted blades when the wind is howling.
  22. Since you are a fan of the jig get a jig with 2 or 3 rattles and shake it frantically in the fishes living room that will tick them off.
