  1. COME ON ICE!!! KEEP MELTING!! What is everyone's prediction for when it will be gone?
  2. For that price, a Powell Max 703c would be a better choice.
  3. I saw this at the Harrisburg sports show this weekend... I will definitely be picking one up... possibly the coolest thing I have ever seen and I will put it to great use!!! The guy gave me the rundown so i can try to answer your questions from what I was told... http://ultimatefishingmaps.com/home/default.aspx
  4. double uni knot! check this out.. http://www.netknots.com/html/double_uni_knot.html
  5. if you back it with mono you shouldnt have any problems with your line digging into the spool..
  6. Cabin Creek Lizards are awesome.. The pumpkinseed ones just catch fish... period... I am with you thought.. i like GYCB a lot.. I'm really excited to try out the new Kinami D-bug this year though.. especially when it was designed by a fellow PA guy... Dave Lefebre!
  7. watermelon red baby brush hogs, Cabin Creek Lizards (pumpkin seed) Zoom Lizards (green pumpkin purple flake and Black Neon)
  8. Great to hear you are putting it to good use! I havent even put any line on mine yet! The lakes up here in Pennsylvania haven't even considered thawing yet.. wind chill has been around -10 the last few days.. its supposed to get up to 40 next week so hopefully it'll start opening up the lakes!!
  9. that video is sweet!!
  10. That doesn't make sense.. the line is still coming out at the tip, and with guides that spiral up the rod, common sense makes them more likely to want to twist... i have never felt my rod want to twist when fighting a fish.. i think the guys who posted before you were on the right track.. i think it has more to do with casting and line contact than preventing torsion
  11. haha.. i have seen people at the gym with them on.. they look ridiculous and will never own a pair.. i'll stick with my flip flops
  12. hey man, a win is a win!! pretty cool that you were the only one to catch fish... you caught 100% more fish than everyone else!
  13. any input on this rod? I just found it interesting when I saw it today.. I was in my local tackle shop and they had a blue Quantum Tour rod.. it was someones signature series.. if forget which angler it was... but the guides were spiraled or twisted up the length of the rod.. it was a big flippin stick.. So, what is the point of having guides that arent in line?
  14. oops i never go in there.. thanks for the heads up!
  15. sounds good man! let me know when you're heading over.. I wanna go out during the pre spawn.. my friends co worker caught twin 6 pounders out there last summer!
  16. i'm going on saturday.. hope to find some close out deals since itll be the last day for vendors.
  17. Keep ice on it.. ice it for 15min at a time... but you need to see your doctor.. ankle sprains take a while to heal but you need an x-ray just to make sure it isn't broken..
  18. sounds good fishincop.. I'm thinkin it'll be at curwensville... It is small enough that people with small boats dont have a giant lake to work with, the boat traffic isnt too bad, and it is unlimited hp for those who dont have small motors..
  19. Curwensville, Sayers, and Raystown do not have HP restrictions... Glendale is 20hp... Black Moshannon is TM only
