  1. WOO! Can never have too many jigs!
  2. bald eagle creek has smallies in it as well as sayers dam. Join Penn States bass club and you wont need a car as they have get togethers and go fishing a lot (at least when I used to fish it). Look them up on facebook. They have a page and I am sure there are people in the bass club that would love a partner to fish with!
  3. Thank you for a very intelligent first post.
  4. was there 2 weeks ago on saturday which was after the storm. We had a tough day.. caught 6 fish in wood but couldnt catch a keeper (most were 14")
  5. BUY IT! and enjoy! awesome rod!!
  6. However, for a couple bucks more, you could pick up a 6'10 medium action Powell Diesel and you would have a killer weightless senko rod!
  7. I agree with the berkley amp rod.. I bought one years ago and still use it once in a while since its my only 2 piece rod and stays in the back of my envoy.. It is a nice rod and wont break the bank on ya
  8. Sounds like a lethal combination! good luck man!
  9. Those baits have won me a lot of money this year..
  10. Power team lures finicky tickler in GP/blue swirl
  11. Yeah don't use it... It won't catch anything
  12. For the most part I try to keep all of my reels the same. Baitcasters I use all Abu Revos... I do have 2 older shimano greenie curado and bantam citica that I picked up to try out... All of my spinning reels MUST be either a Pfleuger President or Shimano Stradic... I just like how the two down right perform.. As for rods... I use primarily Powell.. I have an assortment of Max, Endurance, and Diesel rods with a couple Loomis, Kistler, and St. Croix Avids picking up the slack
  13. Tell me you didn't just compare an IMX to a Veritas?
  14. I just sold my 3 Veritas rods and quickly upgraded my arsenal so I now own all 4 rods in the Powell Diesel lineup.. I love everyone of them as the cranking rod is perfect for the application and the spinning rods perfect for throwing weightless senkos.. Do they match up to my Powell Max rods and Endurance rods? No. But they are great for applications that I don't use as often..
  15. Get a Powell max 7' M action. Or to save a dime, try the new Powell diesel in 6'10 m... I just picked up the diesel for specifically throwing weightless senkos and wow.... Get ready because you will love this rod!!!
  16. I dropshot with a St Croix Avid 7' MF and love it. You dont need a hard hookset at all... just pressure and reel... I also use a Powell 702 MLEF and Love it also...
  17. I have owned both, I would go with the Veritas because it is lighter... I feel both models are equally stiff
  18. I would look into the Powell Max or Endurance series... Tough and light.... And under your budget... The Abu Veritas is a nice light rod as well
  19. A buddy of mine has the ardent kit and loves it.. I have the ProCull culling clips and love mine also.
