  1. Oh yeah! I saw those and would have went with the 12 incher but could not find them in 100 pack!! I prefer a big fat worm body with the curly tail and it seems these are thicker than alot of other worms out there. Not nearly as thick as I prefer but good enough for the price!
  2. I hate to bring an old thread like this back from the dead, but why start a new one. I have gone back to throwing bigger worms and I decided on the Berkley Power worm 10 inch. I just ordered 400 of these so I'm really hoping that they are the real deal! If not look for them cheap in the sale thread!! 200 in blue fleck 100 in black 100 in motor oil
  3. Thats actually pretty freaky. If it was me, I'd probably still be questioning if it were manatee!
  4. Great trip! Still waiting for some more vids to watch too! Did you launch off Tamiami Trail? Do you think the launch area is safe nowadays to leave your vehicle back there! I've been wanting to go there for a bit now but not sure I need broken windows when I get back to the launch.
  5. ahh yes, the comfort of a little extra punch on your hip should make it a little less spooky!
  6. Wow! Glad you're okay....not sure I want to go out to Okeechobee anymore!
  7. You said, it's a blast fishing that lake and trying to learn it!! The guys you mentioned are all very humble on the boards. Its nice you throw some props out to them as these guys don't brag about there skills on the water. That in my opinion demands respect especially with how helpful alot of you guys are! Good luck out there and hopefully you catch a 40 pound bag this year man!
  8. I would think that area would be pretty good, the hillsborough river and tampa bypass canal would take years to thouroughly learn. Not only that the 10,000 lakes area is just a hop down the road. Those areas are probably great for kayaks as well, river and bypass canal.
  9. I would feel very proud of that accomplishment myself! You're right, that man is one of the BEST in the world on Lake O and to be within 5 pounds of him is indeed a success! Sounds like your no slouch on that like as well. Sadly I've only fished that lake twice now so I've got some serious catching up to do!
  10. To be honest I'd like to see Brandon get the win in light of the very recent events in his life.
  11. It would be cool to see Roland in the mix with a good old slugfest repeat of last year with Mcmillan and Tharp. Man you're lucky you know the area they are fishing! Like you said, those two def know where to go. Reports of Tharps first day stated that he thought he had one in the 11-12 pound range but I think it wound up being 9 pounds. I guess he was so pumped he over estimated the size of his fish just a bit. I think Sunday it'll be a full out flippin match between them!
  12. Not to sound negative, but don't move to Ft. Myers if you're looking for bass fishing. This area used to be great and still is but due to all the ****** ruining the place most areas I've fished for years are now off limits. Seriously, if you're bank fishing like I do alot during the weekdays, it seems you're doing something criminal as the attitude I've received from people while fishing is beyond rediculous. Now if I was fishing in a posted area I KNOW i'm doing something wrong but that's not the case. County property here which you would assume public is not. The fishing spots that are still public are being decimated by people keeping every fish they catch.
  13. I will be, not at Okeechobee though as I had planned. After that huge tourney and the wind I figure alot of areas were punished hard enough that I'll wait for another time. I'm heading out Sat. night/Sunday morning and looking to flip/punch mats with the 40 degree temps moving in. If that isn't going, I'll try dragging a jig reall slow in deep water hoping to find a big one holding tight to structure, maybe recouping from the spawn.
  14. Surprising I think only Randall got a 30 pound bag today. Mcmillan came in with under 20!! Maybe the fish were too scattered all over with the overcast conditions and hunting food with the front moving in. I think Sunday will favor Tharp and Mcmillan putting fish under the matts.
  15. <-------Buzzjet, when bass are in the mood, this lure gets bit!
  16. Great fish Capt. Shane. How was the wind that day?
  17. Oh what a feeling that's got to be!! Unfortunately some of us have much longer!!
  18. Good luck and stay safe!
  19. Spot on! Leo??
  20. Went out to the everglades today and didn't fare so well. Water temp was 69 degrees, maybe hit 70 buy late afternoon but I left around 100. Couldn't see any beds as the water was to murky to see down any depth. They may be there???
  21. Haha, good luck!! i'll be out tomorrow too. I'll give an update hopefully??
  22. Great pictures and great experience! I personally like watch Grigsby's fishing shows. He seems like a good guy.
  23. Capt. Shane way to get em!! I'd take a one 5 pounder a day let alone 3 in 25 minutes. Gotta love bassin in Florida in winter!!!
  24. Michigan International Speedway. You know the city?
  25. JFrancho, Not sure if you're kidding or serious? Maybe Glenn can make a vid! I'm not sure what you mean by spinning the bait.
