I purchased a Lew's laser speed spool combo at Dicks sporting good for 40 bucks, I could pass it up for the price. I can't seem to figure it out how to adjust the brakes though. Does anyone have the same reel that could help?

When I googled it, it was the closest one I could find, and when I called they said they were only 20 minutes away.

I didn't end up going with Capt. Dean because he was just to far from Kendall. I ended up booking a charter with Lady Pamela, they seemed liked they knew what they were talking about and have great reviews. My other question is, is there any inshore charters close to the Kendall area for Peacock bass or redfish? I have only seen the big charters that cost an arm and a leg.

So you are just vertically fishing those spoons? I have never heard of using spoons for flatheads. You definitely have that lake figured out, my hats off to you!

Did you catch him at Clinton?

Shelbyville sucked only 12 bass brought in for our club, and even the ITT guys were struggling bad. We caught 9 bass but all short.

I have the Veritas winch model in 7'6" MH/M and love it. Very light, sensitive, and comfortable to hold. I would recommend one to anybody!

Has anyone fished Shelbyville lately? We have a tourney there this Sunday and are looking for ideas on where the fish might be on the lake.

We fished last weekend and the bass were on timber in 5-16ft of water on the west end of the lake. I would just hit up the coves with timber and pitch into it. My boater was using a t-rigged worm and I was using a shakey head.

The top zips shut, it's no mess at all.

Easy, front pouch is finess worms and jig trailers. Then craws to the left, worms in the middle, and creatures on the right. I do have to reorganize after every trip though, it will get a little messy while fishing.

I think it's time for a bigger tackle box.

Picked up some KVD 1.0, 1.5, and 2.5, all 1.89 a piece. Plastics were about the same, some cheaper than others though. Zooms where 20% off. Here is a quick picture, it's not everything I bought but a lot of it. Got 27 bags of plastics, 4 KVD square bills, and a couple 5xd and 3xd's for only 83 bucks.

I know Rend has some really nice size bass in it but they can be hard to catch... I don't know much about carlyle.

I talked with a couple people from my club today and they fished Clinton last week. They said there were tons of dead bass, one said he stopped counting after 25! I really hope this doesn't hurt the lake to much...

I have a tournament at Clinton on the 22nd and after it has been really hot it seems to shut down, at least I cant find them lol. The only luck I have had at Clinton when it gets hot outside is cranks near the bridge.

I bought both green pumpkin and black and blue, plan on using sweet beavers and rage tail craws with it. I didn't really buy to heavy of weights though because I don't generally fish deep (2-8ft).

Are you launching out of Lindsey Bridge? If you are there is a nice cove with lots of docks and brush piles just past the bridge (north part of bridge) on the west side. If you look at it on Google maps, the point is pointing toward the north, this point can be awesome fishing and goes way out. The point is also lined with cypress trees that like to hold fish. On the south side of the lake there are islands that people always seem to do well fishing also. Then there is always the "warm" water arm near the plant on the north end of the lake that has some good brush piles, also fish the sea walls. If you have anymore questions feel free to ask.
