I have the pictures saved to my desktop but can't figure out how to post them. Haven't put a picture on a post with the new format? It's asking for a URL address, and when I open my pick I'm not seeing and address. Can anyone help me out?- Pb Smallmouth - Pics Added!
Thank you all! Pictures to follow, I have to send them to my e mail and then I will post them. It's hard sitting at work today!- Pb Smallmouth - Pics Added!
Caught my new personal best smallmouth today from shore. No scale and only a cell phone camera but have it at 21 1/2 inches. Caught it on a Zoom Fat Albert grub in cotton candy color on a Arkie stand up jig head. Was lifting and droping the grub into some rocks and she got it. Calculator on our site has it at about 5.5 lbs.- Bass Boat?
Have you ever owned a bass boat?- My New Best!!!
Awesome fish! Congrats.- Why Wont My Trolling Motor Start?
Yea, I ran out of electric gas, ha ha! It would be great if it would just start again! The sooner I get it fixed, the sooner I can sell it and look at upgrading.- Mighty Bite Fishing Lure
I don't think it would work any better than Storm a Wild Eye Shad. I't might not even come close to the Storm. It looks like 100% gimmick to me. The commercial has to be the most staged and put on commercial I've ever seen. I would say the banjo minnow is much more legit than that mighty bite. If I were you, I'd go buy a pack of wild eye shad or something similar if you don't have any already, you shouldn't be dissapointed.- What Does Bass Fishing Do For You?
Nice, I like this! Bass fishing is me, it's a big part of who I am. I told my wife the other night, there's been times when I took interest in something, like playing the guitar for example and was trying to make it be my passion, but it was more of an obligation than an enjoyment. I know now, you can't force something to be your passion, it's either a part of who you are or it's not.- How Would You Classify Yourself?
Junk fishing is not having a pattern. Throwing anything and everything until you get a bite.- Why Wont My Trolling Motor Start?
I've checked the wiring to the plug and that looks good. Should I take off the pedal and test the voltage? Thanks guys!- Why Is Bass Fishing So Addicting?
I said that at one time. My wife is sure to remind me of it as the amount I've put into it grows and grows and grows..........with no end in sight.- Why Wont My Trolling Motor Start?
I've got a 92 Ranger 372 V, with a Minn Kota Maxxum 55. I was all set to take my wife and 2 boys out on the lake. Before leaving the drive way I did my usual checks, to include the trolling motor, in the driveway the trolling motor ran strong. By the time I got to the lake and launched the boat, the trolling motor would not start. Tried to reset the circuit breaker.....nothing, took off and reattached all my battery connenctions and it did about a quarter of a turn slowy and than nothing. Fiddled around with everything I could think of from there and it wouldn't move. I'm thinking it may be a blown circuit breaker, so I'm going to take it off and take a look at it. Outside of that, I've got no clue. I appreciate any advice anyone can give me. Thanks!- One thing you have noticed..
Always have a back up plan. Slow down and think when things aren't going right. I went out to practice for a big tourney on Thursday and got absolutely skunked, not even a bite! And it was because I didn't slow down, think and adjust. I was so convinced the fish would be feeding in the shallows that I pounded the bank all day, even though I could cleary see the water was way too low and the fish cleary weren't active in the shallows. I just picked up a new rod every 30 seconds, moved all over the place and wasted time. If I would have just taken a deep breath, moved off the bank a little and stuck with 2 or three different options things could have been better. Even if I still didn't get a bite, it wasn't not getting a bite that bothered me at the end of the day....it was how poorly I had fished. So in a nut shell my advice would be to try and learn something each time.- Quantum sucks!!! Wait does it? KVD uses their stuff
I've got many Quantum reels and have been very happy with all of them. My first baitcaster was a PT Tour Edition, bought in 2005, I can't count the number of fish and differnt species I have caught with that reel, including Muskies and it is still going strong today. I don't own any Quantum rods so I can't speak for them.- First Lmb!!
Congrats! Many many more to come! The more you catch, the stronger the addiction!- fishermantony
- Good Bass Fishing in Idaho?
Yes, I've been on the Snake in Wa a number of times and it is absolutely beautiful......it's worth the trip just for the scenery.- Awesome Day on the Lake
Nice day! Some Hawgs!- I feel stupid , AGAIN. (but that's bass fishing , I guess)
I agree. I also would tie on a jig and throw it at any and all wood that I saw.- Good Bass Fishing in Idaho?
Lake Couer D'alene, Pend Oreille River, Dworshack Resovoir. Lots of good places.- Preferred bait for drop shot rig
A 4 inch Berkley Power Worm with the tail pinched off wacky rigged. Roboworm also makes an excellent variety of drop shot baits.- Great Way to Start Spring
Man, you're killing them, I'm jealous! Females during the pre spawn will definately be their biggest. That fish is your pic may have been lbs bigger during the pre spawn. The tranisition between periods can basically happen over night, so it's no surprise you we're catching them on them beds one week and the next they we're suddenly gone. The best way to determine what period the fish are in is water temperature. You're looking for about 60 degrees for them to spawn. A good pre spawn water temp is probably somewhere in the 50's, but they can start their initial migration from their winter pattern in water thats probably much colder than that. Nice work with that shakey head, impressive technique to be doing so well with! I've had no success with it in the limited time I've used it. I hope to improve alot with it this year. Thanks a lot for the kind words and encouragement . You should seriously check out those Gambler Giggy shaky heads. Those are on sale at Dick's for around $4. They are the black colored ones with the straight barb and 4/0 gammy hook. The roboworms are also on sale too, but only in the green weenie color for $3. Seriously though, you are cheating yourself for not having them. I was catching them today on the same worm, even when it got ripped in half! Those heads really make the worm stand straight up and down, it almost looks like a worm is trying to burrow. I looked at them and they look pretty good. I've got some "Bite Me" Shaky Heads and Zoom Shaky Head worms and trick worms I'm going to try. Think it's a great finesse technique. Keep posting those fish, hopefully before long I can post some too.- First smallie in two years
Nice fish and boat, super clean!- Great Way to Start Spring
