  1. Old school.........The Moving Sidewalks (Billy Gibbons band before ZZ Top), love The Fabulous Thunderbirds and just straight old school blues like Guitar Slim.
  2. Unforgiven! My wife had to pick a western to watch in Film class, I helped her pick this one, we watched it and I helped her write her paper and the teacher was blown away. Ha Ha.
  3. I'm hoping to land this boat over the next few days for $250 bucks. I've wanted a small boat for some time, one I could just pull out of the bed of my pickup and put in some of these good small waters I can't get my Ranger on. I'm real pumped!
  4. 9lber......and everything around for miles would know I was there!
  5. Nice, day's like that will keep you up at night thinking about getting that one back.........you will.
  6. Me too!!! I'm sick!!!
  7. If you can find alleys in the grass, open pockets or ares where the grass hasn't grown completely to the surface try burning a white spinnerbait in those areas.
  8. Oh............there goes my membership too.
  9. Washington Largemouth 11.55 lbs Smallmouth 8.75 lbs
  10. Yea, try and avoid that. Might not be a whole lot of fun.
  11. I bought 3 of them on E bay for $35 bucks last year. I've seen them for that price a piece as well.
  12. I believe it was Field and Stream that had an article on Cabela's outstanding customer service a few years back.
  13. I started calling BPS and having the catalog shipped to me when I was 11 or 12, I used to dream about what tackle I wanted and wonder how I was ever going to get it. I would even put the thing in my back pack and bring it to school. That thing coming in the mail was a BIG day for me! Sorry, I know it's off the subject somewhat, but the topic reminded me of those nice memories.
  14. So true! I'm getting killed in the wind with my 55lb!
  15. I made myself try them because I read and heard about them so much, I figured all these people can't be wrong. Tied one on after catching a giant on a spinnerbait one morning because the temp warmed and the sun got higher. Started with absolutely zero faith or confidence until I hooked a dink in some wood that got off. About 15 minutes after that, a little further down the bank I pitched to some more wood and hooked into the biggest bass of my life. And like the genius I was I tried to flip this fish into the boat........snapped a g loomis mossy back and 50lb braid. The absolute worst part was loosing that fish and thinking it might die having that jig caught in it's mouth. I've loved the jig ever since and have done pretty well with it.
  16. Love the original balsa shad rap. Caught a 3 1/2 pounder with the original in perch with about 5 minutes left in a club tourney, I was going nuts cause I was so pumped. A couple passed by and said "Never give up!" and I repeated it. Cool moment. Too bad I only finished 15th :'(.....ha ha ha.
  17. X4 on the bananas. I didn't even know this was suppose to be bad luck until two years ago when a friend of min (huntfishAK) whose dad was in the Navy told me so. And I don't think I've eaten a banana on the boat since. I think I've got to go back though, it's such a perfect easy snack for the boat. And I never had any problem before I knew of this.
  18. Fish, I couldn't have imagined that you would suck at any of those techniques you mentioned or any techniques for that matter. Here in the Spokane area a 10lb largemouth would be HUGE!!! I'm determined to get one at least pretty close and I think it may be a swimbait that does it. I don't have a whole lot of experience with the big swimbaits, but my plan is to take a few trips this year where all I bring is my big swimbait set up and big swim baits on a few lakes I think might have a 10lber. You'll see the pics on this sight if I ever get one.
  19. That's a good one!
  20. I know how you feel on this completely! I've had to work hard on separating family time on the boat and serious fishing time or I'll make my family miserable.
  21. Drop shotting was my Achilles heel for a couple of years! I finally got it in the fall of 09 and it's probably been my favorite technique since. Don't give up on it guys, you'll love it when you get it!
