  1. What else really matters?
  2. We had our first snow today in Spokane, thankfully none stuck!
  3. Thank You, they look nice!
  4. Wow! Looking and your pics makes me love smallies more and more!
  5. Thanks for sharing the experience.
  6. Thanks J Francho. I will be picking up some flies and trying it on Monday, hopefully I'll report back with good news.
  7. I came across something talking about drop shot flies (pre rigged drop shot flies) and it really caught my attention because I had never used or even heard of flies for drop shotting before. Sounds really interesting and I'd like to try it. Does anyone have any suggestions on flies to use and how to rig them? Also will they be a good option in late fall? Thanks!
  8. That's exiting news, hopefully both organizations will hold tournaments in multiple states in the west. I believe FLW had an event on the Columbia River in June 2009, not sure what series it was, but I think it was a pretty big event. Last year I noticed nothing here in Wa outside of the Federation Nation and the Bass Federation and that was disappointing. I'd love to fish my first open this next season, but like has been said in this thread, the travel, and accommodation costs will be so high and that's even before you get to the tourney entry fee and all the numerous other expenses. I think the west is such a diverse and challenging environment to catch bass and I believe because of these factors the west produces some fantastic bass anglers. I'm so grateful to be out here, I love it!
  9. If it continues at that price I'll cancel it. It should be a benefit of a regular B.A.S.S. membership. I like it, but why keep it at that price when I've got BR for free!
  10. Yea and it currently is an automatic renewal........which means each year if you don't ask for the service to be discontinued they automatically charge you for the next year. I'm exited about the new ownership, hopefully good things will happen.
  11. It's definitely not the weather that is stopping me, it was 28 degrees at launch time for a tourney I fished on the 18th and 19th of Oct. Fished last weekend in 25 mph winds. The last local bass tourney that we have for the year is this coming weekend and it's appropriately called "The Frostbite."

  15. Thanks Kevin. I can tell you that the saying "absence makes the heart grow fonder" is 100% true when it comes to this great country, our beautiful outdoors and those fantastic fish we chase! Winter will pass quickly!

  19. I'm planning one more trip for next weekend before I pack it in for the winter and I am definitely dreading it! To top things off, my lights have gone out on my trailer and it looks like I have to replace them completely. At least waiting for spring wont be nearly as bad as missing this past spring through summer being in the middle east. I think that's really going to help me get through this winter. I like to think that there is alot I can still do to learn and get better over the winter.

  23. I've cranked quite a bit of rock this year and lost a bunch of crankbaits. I was bringing two of a preferred crankbait for each outing but now I'm leaning toward bringing about 6.
  24. You can join BASS Insider for about $50 bucks a year and see every elite series tourney plus every classic and a bunch of other good stuff. I've enjoyed it but I hardly get on it, I'm on here far more often.
  25. Great catch! That is what makes bass addicts there!
