Thanks fellas! I was down south. This was an incredible trip....not because of the fishing. My co-angler was my YMCA football and baseball coach and my best friends father. I spent many a day at his house, basically like a father. He had always wanted to fish the everglades and it was truly my pleasure and honor to spend time with him since he deposited so much in my life. Special thanks to Robert/Mike!

Got a good schooling bass in open water on Lake Okeechobee. I was in the grass looking out over the lake and saw a school working bait. Worked my way to the school and we picked up a couple of two pounders and then started blind casting the area and this chubby girl swallows my spook. The funny thing was that another chubby bass made a play for it at the same time. Made my day since it had really been a tough day.

I love them all. I prefer a buzz frog from JD'sCustomBaits. However when I need to slow it down....A Pop-R or a Torpedocan really make me smile.

Boat do enter the trails. The trails are fishy at times. They are shallow. The flats around the corner from the boatramp on the south end hold bass. I would start there and work your ay back to the closest trail. I would concentrate on useing topwater frogs, swimbaits and large swim worms.
