  1. yum crawbug for me! i'm sure you know to match the colors of the crayfish from the lake to the ones yo use blah blah blah but those crawbugs are money for me in my smallie spot! welcome to the darkside brother
  2. 7 inch zellamander in green pumpkiny red flake type of color texas rigged 1/4 bullet and 2/0 trokar EWG.
  3. get your guys together and head to your school's club president. make a proposal for a fishing club. shouldn't be a problem. then simply get some info from flw or the tour of your choice and sign up. flw gets the most publicity and offers great perks. too bad i go to community college and they don't accept anything other then univerities!
  4. Can't we all just be friends! Yes it seems like the so called "younger generation" (which I am a part of) asks for a lot of freebies. I think the overwhelming majority of this generation that takes part on this site would not fit this standard thats unfortuneatly put on us. I'm taking a shot in the dark here, but I'm sure most of us work hard, get our hands dirty, go to school(be it college or highschool), and pay our dues to achieve the things we do. I have come to notice all the sterotypes put on my generation do apply to some. I have also found that in my circle of friends that fish, hunt, work, and go to school, no such stereotypes exist. Yes, we have video games that will blow youre mind, and yes we have cell phones that can write a senior thesis on the existence of rock snot in local streams (personal experience ) but when it comes to doing what needs to be done, I personally feel the ones that do get it done are not given enough credit. The focus is always put on the shortcomings of my generation, and not the ideas that many of us have stuck inside our heads that we know if we let them out, we will get chastised by the working class of todays world. So please, I respect you, you respect me and lets just work on the things that matter to everyone of us on this site, keeping our lines tight, and the true essence of the sport alive.
  5. nothin quite like the "tap tap tap" on the end of your line when your worm fishin and you get ready and say to your buddy " watch this" and you whack it, perfect in the upper jaw.

  10. no i did cut the slot prior to shaping the bait. i jsut cant cut the lip itself. i tried the cut off disk for cutting the plastic but it wasnt workin too well.
  11. i just whipped up my first ever batch of jerkbaits and got to the part where i need to cut and mount the lips and i cant figure out what to cut them with. i have a dremel tool and i was wondering if there was any accessories for that that you guys might use for cutting lips of making baits in general. anything helps! thanks
  12. post your pics, hot lures and any other info!
  13. invest in some thin glommits. thats gloves and mittens in one. they wont restrict your casting too much. they are a real live saver out on the ice with a 2 degree wind chill!
  14. looking for a tackle box for a while, realizing, it was on my lap
  15. hahaha this show is a disgrace to new jersey! it make me ashamed to be from there.
  16. my opinion. get a cooler with some nice cold lunch and maybe a few cold ones. strap on a 10inch power worm texas rigged and fish slow on the deep ledges. if you can find old broken docks or stumps on these ledges, even better. just make sure you put the beer down before you set the hook!
  17. stock up on some original floating rapalas in the grey and the brown color. also had tons of success on the suspending huskyjerk rapalas in the wild orange color they make it in for dirty water. another go to is the joes flies spinners. i owe my 3 biggest trout catches to them.
  18. nahhh there is nothin better then a good ol classic feeding frenzy! once you get one and the get goin crazy is when the fun really begins. its especially awesome when you got a buddy in the bite with you to make casts to the fish that are following your fish and double up! ive also tried the technique of fishing 2 flukes at once tied on leaders that come off a 3way swivel. more than once have i had a personal double!
  19. i heard that smokerise! i cant wait. didnt have much luck with the bassin through the ice last year though..... lot of pickeral and some walleye. its not very fisherman of me to ask but im dyin to know, what are your tricks. i usually get out on the ice with a dozen or so medium shiners and usually leave with, well, a dozen or so shiners.
  20. sounds like a great idea to me! maybe a father son tourney too? just puttin it out there
  21. ahhh we should be alright for at least 3 weeks!
  22. oh and by the way, any info on the abu garcia black max? i saw it the other day at a store but it looked to good to be true.
  23. i was looking for one with centrifagul brakes. the pro lite finesse looked good but i will have to agree with the downside being that it cant hold much line. ill have to look into some of the other ones mentioned as well. thanks again
