Is One Soft Plastic Brand better than any other?
I like Zoom because they offer plastic baits at a good price and I don't have to tell you that they catch fish. I could buy Ragetails or GYCB or even some type of custom handpours but it just seems to me that if I'm getting bit and I can save some money why change? Then again I havent tried other plastics so I can't really compare but right now I like Zoom

Jighead paint chipping what to do
I've never had a problem with beat up lures catching fish either. I have a rattle trap that basically has no paint left on it and the bass love it but I just dont see the sense of touching lead if I dont have to.

Jerkbait choices... yuour preferences
I like to use floating rapalas a lot in shallower water and of course pointers and x-raps in deeper water

Jighead paint chipping what to do
I fish in rocks a lot and I constantly see the paint on my jigs chipping off where it made contact with the rocks. Is this normal and what can I do to repaint my jigheads?

Why dual brakes?
Thanks for all the replies once again BR is a great place for reliable info

Why dual brakes?
Why do the new Revos, Patriarchs and such have the dual brakes? Its my understanding that most people prefer the centrifugal brakes over the magnetic ones, so why would you need both?

Zoom-Beaver?
They do have the superhog and the brushhogs with the superhog being more like the beaver than the brushhogs

Rabbit fur jigs
I'm thinking I'll just have to make a few myself and don't worry I won't hijack your ideas

Rabbit fur jigs
This is the video I found on jensenjigs.com and as you can see these jigs have a weedguard unlike the smallmouth hair jigs found on the website which are just on a ball jig head. Does anyone know if these are effective and where I can find them. Thanks

Rabbit fur jigs
I'm talking about a regular bass jig with the weedguard but instead of a silicon skirt it has a rabbit fur skirt. Would this be a good option in cold water like the regular deer hair jigs?

Fishing videos
Although a video may help you there is nothing like time on the water to gain experience with and confidence in a certain bait or lure. Just keep at it man, even though we all want the answers sometimes trial and error is the best way to learn something

Anybody from UNH?
Sounds good

Went with the Revo STX!
Well if I do get it cleaned a lubed I'll probably do it myself since I like to take things apart to see how they work. That being said I'll take precautions to make sure I can put back together and have it in good working order when I get it out on the water. Hopefully all goes well

Went with the Revo STX!
Just ordered it from TW on sale for $119.99. Hopefully I'll like it ;D

Goin out on a limb, literally!
Thanks for that link CWB! Unfortunately the snag was about 30-40 feet away so I don't think the lure retriever would have worked for me. I'll just chalk that jig up to a loss. Maybe I should just get a boat so I can get right to the snags ;D I didn't have a chance to get back to that lake this weekend but I did get to go to Lake Winnipesaukee! I caught a couple pickerel on a pointer 100 and a jig (which was kinda weird since it tapped it just like a bass would) Oh and this guy!

Goin out on a limb, literally!
So I decided to fish this pond near me that I've never been to before. I was fishing from shore and I was just prospecting when I saw a laydown that looked great. I was using an omega 7/16oz jig in green orange with a zoom green pumpkin pro chunk. So im pitching to the left side of the laydown and all of the sudden I feel a fish swimming away with my jig, so I set the hook! Of course I missed him and the jig ends up in a limb > I tried the bow string technique to no avail and finally decided to go out onto the tree. I edged out on my stomach with rod in hand and was able to get it back! However on my next pitch it happens again and I'm forced to go out again! Adding insult to injury, I slip a little of the log and my foot gets wet > At this point I'm pretty frustrated but I made another pitch to the same area. I hop it a couple times and I feel the fish again. This time I wasn't taking any chances I made sure he had it and I set the hook hard and muscled him out of the limbs. A decent 2 1/2 to 3 lber was my reward. I got another smaller fish from a shallower log in some muddy water about 20 mins later so I felt good that I at least got a couple. An hour or so later I called it quits but I decided to fish one more laydown. One again I can feel the fish tugging on my jig and once again I miss him and end up with a jig I can't get back. I managed to break the stick off the main limb but it was hung up on another limb underwater. At this point I found some rocks to try to break the stick free or knock my jig loose. However my aim wasn't so good and I ended up breaking it off! Sooo Frustrating > Anyway I'm going back there in a canoe on Saturday so hopefully my jig will be there ;D

Anybody from UNH?
I'm looking for good spots to fish since I'm not from the new hampshire area. I've found a few spots that seem good but I don't have a boat and the fishing from shore is limited at best. So if anyone is currently going to UNH and wants someone to fish with I'm your man

Floating Horny Toad
Even if the baits look messed up to us the bass never seemed to mind it too much unless they're really finicky

Bass following jerkbait to boat
That's funny Beastie Bass I can catch them on jerkbaits a lot of times when a crank isnt working especially on cloudy days

Revo STX or Citica baitcasters
Thanks for that link snoopy2! Who knew there was an almost identical link Anyway I do use left hand retrieve reels for spinning and baitcasting so it seems that the Revo will probably be my pick but just like someone from that thread suggested I can always trade it ;D

Revo STX or Citica baitcasters
The revo stx is on sale at TW for $119 and I don't know how long that will last. On the flip side the Citica is the same price and I know that I won't have a problem getting one. The Citica is also the reel I was planning on getting because of the price but should I pull the trigger on the revo now?

Snaps, or tie direct?
They seem like a good idea for cranks and jerkbaits but would the weight affect suspending jerkbaits?
