  1. Thanks for all the replies! Ive loved fishin jerkbaits ever since I caught five last March in about 45 mins. Ive always liked cranks too and Ive found that they do work for me from the post spawn on or in heavier cover and deeper water. Ive also found that if I cant get bit on a crank a jerkbait will often produce even in the summer. Thanks for all the opinions though Ive definitely learned a lot from all of you!
  2. What factors determine whether you throw a jerkbait or a crankbait like water temp, time of year, weather conditions, cover or structure?
  3. Are they really better than rod with guides on top?
  4. Who says you dont get a work out from fishing Nice fish by the way!
  5. Sounds like a nice trip despite the wind but hey all the good fisherman know its about spending time on the water and you proved that! Nice fish by the way
  6. Baby brush hog weightless or t-rigged, finesse worm weightless twitch it back or t-rigged, small crank baits, small jigs, small poppers, small jerkbaits small everthing!!!
  7. Ive been throwing a jerkbait, finesse jig, spinnerbait and some cranks both lipless and lipped no luck so far but the places Ive fished havent always been the easiest fishin holes. Just change it up once in a while from lure to lure, presentation to presentation, color to color and you'll land on something they want
  8. I would say in many situations brush hogs are the way to go and since I fish the bank I have to limit the amount of tackle I bring. Somehow I always keep going to the brush hogs
  9. Old man winter needs to get outta here because hes ruining my fishing!
  10. I catch little ones here too but a little fish is better than no fish. Good Job with the jigs!
  11. Pointers or X-raps
  12. Looks like I'll have to get some thanks for the feedback!
  13. I've heard good things about them and maybe in the market for one. Anyone have any experience with them?
  14. Great fish! Wish I could say I caught one like that. What were you fishing and what presentation?
  15. I wouldn't be too concerned why theyre hittin your bigger cranks just be thankful you have such a gem close by
  16. You caught 40+ fish and I had to endure 40 degrees and below without a fish! Nice Job though keep catchin em and I'll keep dreaming of days when I did ;D
  17. Great fish nice way to start the year!
  18. I wish my Pond X would produce that > Nice fish!
  19. Cool I can't wait to get out and fish again, thanks for the pics but for now I can only dream
  20. I want to have the LC pointer 78 and 100 SP and DD, Rogues SP and Floating, X-raps and Orig. Floaters, Damiki Slim Jack(Maybe the longbill and striker), Spro McStick and McRip and maybe a few others but I think I've got a good list goin now ;D
  21. Maybe you could just measure them in the water then take a picture holding them. I dont think any one would find fault with your measurements. After all you are a fisherman and they dont lie ;D but nice fish! Were you using a lipless crank?
  22. I just wish I could fish right now! Anything like that would be an enormous bonus! Nice Fish!
  23. I've done well with the baby 1-minus as a waking crankbait and it seems like the redfin is the bait of choice when a minnow profile is desired so i think ill try a few of those thanks!
  24. Who makes them and what kinds would you recommend?
  25. Laydowns and Rush is awesome by the way!
