Thanks for the feedback. There’s a bunch of different power and action types for rods. What a general rule for each type and when to use.

I’m looking for a medium/deep cranking rod for next season. I currently have a dobyns fury 7’ MH/moderate but don’t like it as much since I can’t launch strike king 5xd. I also have a 7’3” heavy/fast dobyns fury I’ve been using as a cranking rod temporarily kind of like the heavy action rod. tackle warehouse is having 20% off currently and I’ve been looking at the lews Kvd composite cranking rods. I was looking at the 7’4” heavy/moderate. Looking to stay around the $100 or so mark. What rod do you recommend and what specs? Is a fast tip better than a moderate when fishing treble hooks? is there a general rule about what action rod to use and when? Like medium heavy or heavy. Moderate tip or fast, etc

I just ordered dual power poles and was wondering those with Lund renegades how you had the pumps mounted? I’d like to mount them in my battery compartment ideally but not sure how I’m going to arrange everything.

Is there any place in Maine specifically central that will repair my Skeg? I broke off the lower 1-2”.

I was looking into getting a couple hummingbird fishfinders for my boat. Is there a good place to purchase them cheaper? I was looking into the Mega SI G3N for the console and possibly a Mega DI G3N for the bow. I read online that people like to have the SI/GPS at the console and DI at the bow. I want to be able to get them at a reasonable cost and as low as possible. I would like a bigger unit at the console but there seems to be a drastic price difference going from a 7 to even an 8. Going from 7 to a 9 looks about double the price. I had a basic fishfinder on my previous boat so these types of electronics are new to me.

Sorry I wasn’t really clear. I have two casting rods that I use for crankbaits and the other for everything else.

I am currently trying to find a spinning rod for my new Shimano nasci 2500. I think something that is MF is something I’m looking for but don’t know which rod to get. Looking to spend no more than $100. Looking to make it a multipurpose rod as I use one for crank baits and the other for spinner baits, chatterbaits and pretty much anything else at the moment with just having two casting setups.

Ended up ordering the bass pro ones. I figure if I don’t like them I can exchange for the other ones

On the cabelas prodigy vest it looks like the back collar sticks up. Would that rub up against the back of my head/neck? The other one looks like it would sit flat on my back.

Which one do you think would be a better choice? I can’t decide between the two. I’m not too worried about the $20 difference. Something that would be comfortable for riding and probably wear all day. I should probably start doing both

I noticed the Bass Pro one is a type 3 pfd and the cabelas one is type 2. What's the difference? Also the bass pro is 200 denier nylon but the cabelas is 240 denier nylon. Any advantages beside for being a thicker material (I believe)? Does anyone know if the bass pro pfd I inquired about includes an arming kit? Can't find on the website

I was looking to get a pair of auto inflatable life jackets and saw these on sale. Any experience with either? What’s a good spinning rod for ~$100 that would be good towards my three rod setup? I think I read something medium fast would be best?

Would the 705cb be fine for ripping Crankbaits out of vegetation?

I hear the Dobyn Fury 7’ MH Moderate Fast is a good one. With the DSG promo going on I can get that for $90 before tax. Would this be good for my three rod setup eventually to grow each season?

I was looking to add a crankbait rod to my arsenal and have been eyeing the Lew's TP1 7'3" MH Mod crankbait rod. Looking to stay under a $100 and its $75 with the 25% off at DSG. Is this a good rod to throw various types of crankbaits from lipless to a ~10-15ft crankbait? Am open to to other options as well in the same price point. Looking to get a three rod setup going and will add a new one every season. Got a Favorite White Bird 7' MH Fast for an all around rod with a Daiwa Megaforce and Shimano Curado K both ~7:1 gear ratio. Looking to get a spinning combo going also medium with fast action as well. I mainly throw texas rigs, spinners, lipless/medium diving crankbaits and chatterbaits. Trying to get back into fishing slowly. Is this rod a decent one to add to my growing collection?

Ended up returning the 6.2:1 reel as it wasn’t advertised as a store model. Should i get another that gear ratio or something else?

I would probably use Texas rigs, spinnerbaits, chatterbait, lip less cranks, wacky rig, and maybe a few square bills

I am trying to get a three rod setup going and currently have 2 Curado’s a 7.3:1 and a 6.3:1. I have the 7.3:1 paired with a 7’ MHF rod and was looking to purchase another casting rod and get a spinning combo together. My question is what should I get for my other casting rod? Am I better off possibly pairing the 6.3:1 reel to my existing 7’ MHF rod? Looking for rod type recommendations for my other casting reel and a spinning setup? What’s a good spinning reel also for ~$100?

I am stumped right now on what to write for my persuasive essay due next week. I don't want to do a controversial topic or anything political. Some ideas in my class were to eliminate tests and have regular quizzes so students stay current. Another was have teachers post notes online so students can focus on learning. I just don't have any ideas and was hoping you guys could give me some to spark up some ideas.
