Moderate-Fast Graphite vs Glass Rod for Crankbaits
I am looking for a crankbait rod that has the ability to do pretty much anything from shallow to about 15-18 feet...Does such a rod exist or will I have to buy 2 setups? Would it be better to buy a graphite rod with a slower tip or go ahead and go full glass? I am a crankbait beginner and need all the help I can get. I'm sure this comes up fairly often but the internet is so terrible in my apartment that I can't do a search on BR. Thanks everybody! Edit: I'm a poor college student, so maybe a rod in the 100-130 dollar range?

There are a lot of ways you could interpret "Morning After" and I like all of them. That has my vote

Blacks spots on bass
I saw KVD on tv once say that black spots on the fish meant that they were healthy. I'm not sure how true that is or why that is, but I can't doubt The Man

Favorie Braid for Spinning Reel
Does anybody have a braided line that they think is better for spinning tackle than others? Also, I would like to have use 30lb line if possible...is that too much for a 2500 size reel?

Question concerning Jigs
Buy some heads and some skirt material and tie your own...that's what I did and it kinda forced me to dive in head first because I really wanted to catch a fish on something I made. It is inexpensive and you can make some cool stuff. Now that I have some confidence in jigs, I am ready to buy some jigs with skirts better looking than I would care to try. NC Bass & Saltwater Expo this weekend...Hello Dave's Tournament Tackle! I am also very interested in Northstar. This is just a thought, but it worked for me.

Zoom Ultravibe Speed Craws
I used to love them as a jig trailer....never caught anything on em (probably because I had no idea how to fish a jig) but they looked so good. I may have to go pick some up

Mossberg 500 vs Remington 870 Express
Looks like I'll be picking one up of these two up at the gun show this weekend. I'm leaning towards the Mossberg 500 Waterfowl (28" vent rib barrell, Mossy Oak duck blind camo, etc. etc.). Any opininons?

Smallies have ruined me
There are smallmouth here in Columbia in the Broad and Congaree Rivers, but I haven't caught any. All largemouth so far. Anything specific to target in the river for smallmouth?

Smallies have ruined me
I think I have a problem. I caught my first smallmouth (about a 2.5 pounder on pickwick while on a guided prefishing trip with Jimmy Mason)on September 10th of this year and ever since I haven't had as much fun catching anything else. I even dreamed about them the other night. I am not near a healthy smallmouth population and it is driving me crazy. Is this normal?

Most innovative concept to come out in the last 5 years
I'd have to say #1 would probably end up being the sidefinder for sure, on my or any serious anglers list... But I must say growing up on 8lb stren and switching to 12lb seaugar flourocaron line was intense. I've been pretty successful targeting areas that were for years "No mans land". I can't venture too deep into SUPER HEAVY cover..But on my M-XF spinning rod, reel spooled with this incredible line.. Besides line twist and poor(in comparison to mono)memory...It's the perfect tool to littleraly connect you to the fish you are targeting. I am very impressed with seaguar's fluorocarbon. I have 15 pound invizx on a curado with an all star rod and it's my main set up.Stuff does not break very easily.By the way never buy p line especially p line fluorocarbon i have never been so tinkled off by line in my whole life Not to thread jack or come off as unfriendly here, but I don't think that's fair. I love my P-Line. 6lb CXX is fantastic on my spinning reels and the heavier tests are just as good on the baitcasters. CXX is tough as nails and is one of my favorite lines. To each his own, and mine is P-Line.
