  1. What is everybody's favorite deep cranking line? I was thinking about trying 8lb CXX because I have found it is so much stronger than what it is rated...any ideas?
  2. Because all the witty remarks are taken, I'll say RI Sweet Beaver and Netbait's B Bug
  3. A square bill crank won't get hung up as much.
  4. I bought some of the shaky heads and they have been pretty good to me. The hardbaits look like they could be pretty good with some new treble hooks too and for 2 bucks you can't go wrong
  5. I haven't bought into the F2 Money Craw yet, but I have like 10 packs of them because all of the F2 stuff was on sale for 1.03 a pack. No fish on them yet and I don't like the action as much as rage, but they still look ok. The Mighty Bug, on the other hand, looks awesome in the water. I haven't had much time with it but I am impressed so far. The Sallemander looks good as well. I like the Shaky Head worm (Shakelicious or something) too as far as looks go. While typing this, though, I realized I haven't caught a single fish on any of the F2 baits haha but I know it isn't the plastic's fault. Sorry if I wasn't much help. I tried!
  6. he has nothing on the Waco Kid
  7. Has anybody else given these a try? They get a big thumbs down from me. I guess it's finally time to put in a Northstar order.
  8. Work on your siphoning before game time. We messed our first 3 batches up this way. I'm starting to think it's a faulty auto siphon. Either that or we are just really, really, really bad at this.
  9. Has anybody heard of Tater Hog Custom Lures? I won't post a link because they aren't a sponsor, but does anybody have any experience with these baits? I met Matt, the owner, today at the Palmetto Sportsman's Classic, and the Hoochiemomma and Hoochiebaby wake baits look UNBELIEVABLE. They are jointed wakebaits and they look like they could do some serious damage. I didn't pull the trigger because they were $50 a piece, but I was very impressed to say the least.
  10. And they smell great! The 6" MT Floating Worm in watermelon is one of my favorites for the shaky head.
  11. hahaha YES!!! Money Shot! I am cracking up
  12. just drooled all over my keyboard...
  13. Homemade lube sounds dangerous
  14. Looks to me like it has a wider gap, possibly for thicker baits? Similar to an Owner Rig 'N hook I would guess
  15. I'm far too broke for something like that
  16. Ya ya ya.....I don't understand how they caught fish. You LSU people can't even spell "go" right. You just wait for the ***** to fish it next year
  17. hahaha he kinda looks like my dad ;D
  18. Anyone interested in Santee-Cooper should give guide Brett Mitchell a call to set up a trip. He is a friend of mine and wins virtually every tournament he fishes there. Check out his website, fishingwithbrett.com and take a look around. He said that he is booked all weekends in March and April, but still has weekdays open. His phone number is 8033797029 and tell him Broc Weaver sent you. He is a really great guy and volunteers as the coach/mentor for Anglers @ USC, The University of South Carolina's official bass fishing team. You won't be disappointed
  19. I was buying my Dingers there because I thought I was getting a great deal and then realized there are only 8 in a bag as opposed to 12 in a $4-$4.50 bag elsewhere. That's just about the same price per worm
  20. I think those are the ones that are usually like 6 bucks. From what I remember, they didn't get very good reviews on basspro.com, but that doesn't really mean anything. Maybe reading those reviews would be a good place to start? But 2 bucks is probably a hell of a deal
  21. Well I was supposed to link with a friend and local pro for the BASS Weekend Series in NC this year, but he had to back out. Therefore, I no longer have anyone to split gas or hotel costs with and need to travel as cheap as possible. I have met Dearal Rodgers (2010 Forrest Wood Cup Co-Angler Champion) a couple times and he told me that he used to camp during tournaments to save cash. Has anyone else ever done this? I'm thinking a tent, a nice sleeping pad, a sleeping bag, and I'm set. Is this a terrible idea? :-/
  22. Neither is florida ;D ;D ;D....J/K had to throw in that jab... What it does prove ,is that Carolina is able to now recruit with the big boys. At least they can get some talent in the door. It doesn't mean they will be a good team because of it ,but more and more high schoolers are starting to look at USC as a place to go :-/...And it hurts me greatly to say all this cause i'm a Clemson fan..Of course we got a few good 'uns too ;D Kind words from a Clemson fan? Not really sure how to take that haha
  23. I don't encounter many weeds. More wood and rocks than anything. What about a Shimano Clarus...has anybody tried one of those in Medium Moderate Fast?
