Has anybody ever heard of the other Roland Martin? The apartment complex that I live in has a bus that takes us to campus and the bus driver had on the Black America morning show the other day and they announced that Roland Martin would be a guest on the show. I was pumped. The Great American Fisherman was going to be on the radio...WRONG. It was Roland S. Martin, author of The First: President Barack Obama's Road to The White House. Apparently he is a rather well known author, but to me he was the morning buzzkill. BUMMER

I had a good time catching bass chasing schools of shad this weekend, but the fluke didn't produce quite as well as I thought it might have...What is your favorite lure/technique for when bass are chasing the shad?

A buddy of mine got pulled over the other night for expired tags and he had a little bit of alcohol in the car (He isn't 21 yet). It was not opened and he claims he was cooperating. The officer was from Alcohol Law Enforcement and told this kid that he would like to see video of his mom beating his *** on youtube along with some other comments. I normally wouldn't believe that, but I had other friends in the car and they all spit it back verbatim. I'm sure 99% of police officers are great people, but these power hungry ALE people drive me up the wall.

I'm gonna second the beer idea. Bear Republic Racer 5. A 6 pack is a little over the 10 dollar budget, but well worth it. As far as what to fish with....Just throw the senkos and then go enjoy some Racer 5s.

If it's the Lake Nona I'm thinking of, I'd be tying the boat up and getting out on the golf course But, if youre throwing all that at em and they arent biting, youre probably fishing in the wrong places. I don't know anything about the lake, but I would hit it early or late and look for "fishy" places

For those who fish rocks and need a leader, how long is your leader?

I can't remember who it is, but somebody on here LOVES the topknocker...I bet they would take it if you didnt want it. Also, as far as lures that I don't think would catch fish, I caught a 4-5 pounder yesterday with a green bitsy flip and a black/blue 5" yum dinger as a trailer. It was ugly as all hell, but I forgot trailers and it actually looked pretty cool in the water. The bass seemed to like it ok too.

Same exact deal for me....it blows. The only way we can beat it is give all of our rent money to one roommate and have him pay. That way the fee is split up between 4 people instead of everyone paying individually. You wouldn't happen to live in a complex called Copper Beech, would you?
