Sorry guys, I just figured out how to re-size my images. My idea of technology is a pic and shovel.

Same reels or Different reels?
I own reels by six different manufactures. My favorite reel is still the old Lews Speedspools but parts are not to be had. Sooooo, made the move to the Revo line up and have been very happy. There are so many superb products out there, you can't really beef any of them.

I heartily recommend.................
Sweet. I have the 702 for my drop shot and the 703 for tubes and grubs. It was hard to set down my 701TN ( Tennesee handle ) as my drop shot rod but the Excel balances out so well. Time for a garage sale.

Large and Small mouth were on ! pics added
My buddy and I hit an east side reservoir not knowing what would happen in the fall. It has a great spring reputation. Two and half days of fishing and we boated just over a hundred and the LM average was slightly under four pounds. I had a flurry of evening smallmouth fishing and boated 4 over four pounds and one over five in 90 minutes !. We didn't take a photo of anything less than four pounds and came home with 26 photos. When we added the missed fish and lost fish it was an absolute blast. Can't wait until next fall !

Your fishing goals?
I just got back from a three day trip and it was the best fishing of my life ! The number of quality fish was far beyond what I could have ever hoped for. MY GOAL is to keep bass fishing in a healthy perspective. If I never have a trip like this again, I could not be disappointed. If I ever fail to meet with, fish with and share with some of the incredible people I have met or yet to meet and become friends with, I will not have met that goal.

Lamiglass Excel opinions
If you are going to throw 3/8 spinnerbaits go with the XL664S for sure. This blank will triple as a plasitics, senko rod for you as well. The previous comments are accurate and not over stated. Anyone who has tried this series has been impresssed. I own nine Excels and many other Lamiglas models. You won't be dissapointed.

I was looking for some new baits at Tackle Warehouse and saw the Lamiglas Excels on sale for $78.88. That is a smokin deal. I need a micro I guess.- Whats the best application for this rod?
Should make a great target rod. Pistol grip, right ? Spinnerbaits and square bill cranks in tight quarters. Short rods and an underhand roll cast around docks and over hanginging trees. Have fun !- Redfish bait for smallies
Picked up a better color and this bait works. I was dragging it and hopping it. The bonus is fish would pop it on the reel back. Cabelas carries them if anyone wants to give them a try.- How about these hooks for Dropshot?
Me too. The Owner wide gap finese hook is my favorite. The hook to bite ratio with this hook has been excellent. You get a 25 pack for about nine bucks. Money well spent.- favorite fall set up?
Spook the flats and points baby. Then get the crankbait rod out. Love the fall.- Smallies and yellow perch
I ran into the exact same situation about three weeks ago. The smallmouth were stuffed with 1-3/4 inch yellow perch frye. When you hooked a bass they would regurgitate 3 or four frye. The bass would not hit a fast moving bait like a crankbait, rattle baitm jerk bait and Lord knows the spinnerbait was a dud. The saving grace was we hit several fish in 10 to 17 feet of water on a Carolina rig with a green pumpkin Lizard. It was an easy meal for fish who must have been resting or it ticked them off. Hope this helps.- One great wedding
Gave my baby girl away yesterday. The hardest words I have ever had to say were, to the question, " Who gives this woman to be wed to this man ?" It took me awhile but I squeaked them out, " Her mother and I." You guys that have done this probably can relate. The bonus !! My son-in-law loves his bass fishing. Mt. ST. Helens was the back drop for the ceremony. Beautiful weather and a beautiful bride. I'm a lucky man.- Replacement for a Brush Hog/What's your's
YUM Wooley Hawg- Glenn is smiling..Hawks won again
It wasn't pretty but a win is a win. My Ducks snuck one out against Arizona State. Neweasels Bruins won a big one.- Jig rod?
I prefer a longer rod. My preference is a Lamiglas Certified Pro XFT764. I have two and they are my go to rods. Check out the recent review in Tackle Tour. By the way, they can be had for about 180 bucks.- Rain Suit
I love DryHide or StormHide products. They are light, flexible and keep me dry for a fair price. Columbia Sportswear also makes a great product if you don't fish in subfreezing temps.- pflueger trion reel
I have one. They have a long history of being a solid performer, hold up well and cast well. They are a little big in relation to many of the new low profile reels. I use mine for steelhead fishing know it it still works great after years of use.- need some help with my speech
I could never provide a speech that short in duration. Maybe elaborate on how one maximizes the range of motion in the wrist and how it is critical so you don't cast with the thump in an upright position but rotate the hand over so the palm is down to maximize on that range of motion. You could speak on what factors effect the line's ability to come off the spool at rate that is in relationship to the speed of the spool as it rotates to prevent overrun. That's good for half an hour right there.- crankbait info needed
Speed Trap for sure ! Norman's Thin N but the bill may not be as good for wood.- Drop Shot Question
For really snaggy situations, try hollow core pencil lead and crimp it on after you cut a piece to match the weight you need. Use a swivel to prevent the dreaded line twist. Steelheaders have used this for years. - Excels on sale at TW
