Is this just part of growing up?
You are on the right track. My dad told me that the most important things are relationships. He said do what builds a relationship and not dissolve it. He said to do those things you can be proud of, now and later and not to embarrass yourself in your actions. Being an adult will come soon enough and with it a higher level of responsibility. ENJOY your your youth and the freedom it brings to experience so many different things. One last tip..If you choose to race motocross, always wear a kidney belt.

One year
I cannot believe I registered on this forum just short of a year ago. Glenn should be very proud of this forum. I have had some awesome interactions with a bunch of you folks and have enjoyed reading your controversy and your humor. I've learned a great deal in the past year. Thanks to all you folks and I am looking forward to what the new year brings. f and p

The mother of all polls. Daiwa, Abu, BPS, Pflueger, Penn or Shimano?
Interesting. My local tackle dealer has had almost no success with Diawa products. The mother of all polls left out Ardent, Browning, Okuma and several others. The options for consumers boggles the mind.

Drop Shot Rod with Strong Backbone and Soft Tip
Lamiglas made a 701 with a Tenessee handle that has what appears to be the exact action you are looking for. It's out of production and I can't find them anywhere any more. I have one. The closest action I can find is the Excel 702S.

Old baits from the 80s and 90s
That's easy, Heddon River Runts, Mirro Lure, Stingray Grub, Jelly Worms, Johnson Silver Minnow Spoons, Snagless Sally. The list goes on. To call lures from the 70's-80's old is reasonable, but the 90's ? I still wear my royal blue short sleeve one piece jumpsuit and cotton crusher hat. Stick steering !!!! That's what i'm talking about.

What is your favorite flipping or punching bait?
Same here in that order. From time to time I will pitch a senko type bait into shallow holes if the water color is decent.

What is your must have ?
quality+performance+service+warrantee divided by price = value. Kent always says be patient and look for the best stuff posted on the flea market at good prices. That's good advice. I try to buy like that but new. Example: 2010 Revo Premier for $167.00. VALUE.

2011 Plans
This year is up in the air because of my job. If staff reductions take effect, my fishing plans will or may go out the window. My goals are to fish at least thee local team tounaments early, get to Clear Lake CA in April, try to fish a local circuit or as many events as possible with my buddy and learn some new small mouth water. The gravy will be to match my last trip of this year which was a good one.

swept *S* reel handle
You might change your mind when you see the price on forged handles. I priced one to replace a damaged Pflueger President handle. $46.00 and I only paid a hundred for the reel new. NOT. Good luck.

New rod suggestions??
This would be my choice as well. This is a true all purpose rod and the 3 power is almost overstated. I use it for traps, cranks and light carolina rigs for smallies. It will handle jerkbaits and hollow body swimbaits too. It's a really good stick.

Most innovative concept to come out in the last 5 years
This post was under the rods, reels, line etc. section, so for that category it's nanotechnology. For everything else side imaging is the clear winner. The system was used to find the Titanic and now it's on bass boats. Amazing.
