  1. Well, my list is too long but among other things...for me my biggest weakness shows its ugly face in the winter time...and many of you know the little primate very well...he hides out in the closet and whispers things while you sleep..at least that's my theory..i could be wrong, he could be under your bed for all I know. The fact remains that you wake up and before you even eat breakfast, you are scouring the web for deals on tackle and possibly considering skipping work to make a trip to BPS.
  2. The stanley ribbit is my favorite as well...outfishes all other soft plastic frogs in my opinion... and no I am not a frog-a-holic...not yet at least :-?
  3. My best advice would be to make sure your weed guard is trimmed appropriately, companies will always give you more than enough weed guard and it is usually meant to be trimmed to your liking, just like the length of the skirt. Try holding the jig head and cut the bristles parallel to the hook. If you run your finger over the guard, there should be just enough to deflect the cover past your hook. This definitely helped me improve my hookups when I first started throwing jigs. Tight Lines Phil
  4. Erie is truly a world class smallie fishery. Beauty fish! If anyone ever gets the chance to fish erie, don't pass it up, you won't be disappointed...just remember to hang on
  5. I'll throw a my 7 ft med action shimano compre spinnin rod/2500 saros reel with 6# trilene 100% for tubes, small jerkbaits and any other sort of finesse styles. For cranking, spinnerbaits and top waters my setup is a 6'6 compre med/heavy crankin stick/citica 200e with 17# suffix elite. These both take care of most of my favorite applications...but like most of you have been saying, it is more about how you are presenting your lure, than the outfit you are using. Tight lines Phil
  6. -18 with the wind chill right now where I am..which is near Niagara Falls. So I am inside pluggin away at articles and on the forum. Man 74 sounds like something I could handle..haha
  7. Whats Up fellow anglers...just wanted to say hey to all the Canadian anglers that frequent BR as well as everyone else. The time and effort that everyone puts in to making this website so informative and fun to be on is unbelievable to me. Keep up the good work everyone and thanks to the staff for doing what you all do! I will try to bring my 2 cents as much as I can find time to do. Tight Lines Phil 8-)
