  1. I had to cry myself to sleep last night with awful memories of the Pats beating the Bills.... One thing we learned from the Kahn is that "Revenge is a dish best served cold." Unfortunately, Brady has to retire before it can be served.
  2. As a Bills fan... Need I say more?
  3. Though I hate 'em, I respect the heck out of what the Pats can do. They are the team to beat at this stage of the season, IMO. I see Super Bowl written all over this team.
  4. Freakish. Those gloves are pretty sticky, though Sammy Watkins has had some freakish catches in warm ups as well. Amazing receivers these guys.
  5. Excellent catch! Next purchase - a scale!!
  6. Thanks for the link. Fortunately I am not interested in anything there but the grill!!
  7. There is 1 thing I'm interested in at BPS this year, and that's another Carbonlite rod. I plan on buying a M or MH casting rod. Other than that, Spring Classic is where the BPS deals will be mostly. DSG - haven't seen what they're offering yet.
  8. Cool, indeed. Can't recall if I've ever caught such a bass. But good stuff, mate!
  9. Light dusting in my area, if correct. But sub 900 millibars, good low pressure system. Should blow bait into fishes mouth.... Wind from the south. LOL.
  10. As I read your reply, the Monty Python song began going thru my head... "Always look on the briiiiight side of life" LOL But really, good advice, A-Jay. Reminds me of trying to get huge bedding bass to bite. If they ain't in the mood, nothing short of dynamite will bring 'em up.
  11. Sounds good based on your planned usage of each. I'm planning on picking up either an M or MH next week as well, but 6'6" probably the longest for me. Hoping they have some of the new white models in stock so I can compare.
  12. Heck if I know. Based on looks and such, I'd maybe opt for a St. Croix Legend Elite or maybe a JDM rod.
  13. Welcome aboard!
  14. Welcome aboard!
  15. Hey Taylor, welcome aboard!
  16. I'll wacky a bunch of different things. Even stuff you aren't "supposed" to wacky.... Like lizards Mostly Zoom Finesse, Trick worms, Senkos, BPS Stik-Os, and the like. I'll also wacky flukes.
  17. My boys love the dill pickle flavor. Me, I like the standard, the ranch, the bacon, etc.... Wish they carried Spitz brand down where I live.
  18. Hey Craig, welcome aboard!
  19. Thanks. My goal has been to cast *almost* as light as I can with spinning gear. This brings me a step closer. I was able to do so with standard bearings, but I think my furthest cast was 35-40 feet. Still good, but this is even better Next would be a new spool from Hedgehog Studios. Something like this: http://www.hedgehog-studio.co.jp/product/1005 But that ain't gonna happen any time soon, LOL.
  20. Received two sets of Hawgtech ABEC 7 bearings I ordered earlier in the week! They're for my two Chronarch 50e reels. I got right to work upgrading and testing. What a difference they make. Just wow. Much noisier, but that doesn't bother me. Installed as-received, dry, no oil. Both reels are spooled with 20 lb yellow Power Pro + leader. Rod 1: - 6'6" Carbonlite, ML/F - 4 red/pink brakes engaged - Leader is 8 lb Yo-Zuri Hybrid - 1/0 Gammy Split/Drop hook + weedguard - 4.75" Zoom Finesse worm rigged wacky - Longest cast so far: 50 feet - Longest pitch so far: 27 feet I experimented going down to 3, and 2 brakes engaged, but this will be something I need to work on. Had to dig out a couple birds nests. Slowed my cast down, but was most comfortable and consistent with 4 breaks on. Rod 2: - 6' Field & Stream M/F - Leader is 10 lb XPS Fluoro - 3 green (off) and 3 Red brakes - 2 engaged - Norman Lures speedclip - small one - 3" storm swimbait, hook clipped off - Did not measure casts, but the difference is significant from stock bearings.
  21. I'm sure you'll enjoy the Ascend.
  22. Agree with John. Probably some sort of bird. Perhaps a Norwegian Blue Parrot that migrated to Maine. Or the Japo-Scandinavian Flying Chupacabra.
  23. I really like my Stradics (not CI4 models), but the Daiwa Ballistic EX looks phenomenal. I would strongly consider going that route if you don't mind the extra weight. Reason I suggest the Daiwa - and you can't go wrong with either one - is that I actually prefer Daiwa's bail mechanism over Shimanos. At first I didn't think i would, but it is solid, consistently. I have a Diawa Lexa 2000SH, considerably less than the Ballistic, but solid. As I said, you can't go wrong either way.
  24. I'm with deak and MCS, may she recover quickly!!
