  1. Same here. We always host a SB party at our house for family and a few friends. Besides, can't fish my waters after sundown, so there's only one choice for me.
  2. I got mine the other day. Odd how they've chosen to do things. I check their site frequently anyhow, so not a huge issue to me. But still, I was shocked at lack of information.
  3. LOL. Got a big screen on my iMac, so never an issue here. But a legit issue for others.
  4. I actually like(d) and use(d) the quick forum navigation via the pull-down menu!
  5. I prefer Minn Kota for when I motorize my kayak. I had a Prowler (MotorGuide) before, though more powerful, I prefer the way the MK handles, as well as the composite shaft.
  6. The question is why the drop-down menu is behaving this way. Perhaps Glenn or one of the mods can answer? While not a big deal, it is more clicks to get to where you want to go.
  7. Braid+Leader (sometimes fluoro) for everything here!
  8. PowerPro in 10lb for spinning, 20lb for baitcasting. Haven't used sx1, but have used other brands including Berkley, Sufix, Spiderline, among others. Just happen to prefer regular PP over the others. Likely will try more stuff as time goes by...
  9. Welcome aboard, Kyle!
  10. Hi-vis yellow + leader. Want to see my line as I'm primarily a soft-plastics fisherman.
  11. So glad you were able to get back in the boat! Harrowing experience to be sure. PFD is 100% of the time for me and my family, no questions.
  12. Welcome aboard!
  13. Bingo, plumage was fluffed out making it look a bit larger.
  14. Yeah, "funny" commercial, but I'll stick to buying products in-store, or order online, deliver to store.
  15. No doubt! Both guys are trash talkers. Sherman has a particular gift, though. Did you see when he went after Skip Bayless? Whatever you think of Skip, it was another moment to see him go off. I still feel the man is probably the best in the game at what he does. He backs up most of his trash talk with performance. And that last play was magic.
  16. Those days happen. No phone, no pix, but lots of bass you wish were on "film". Great day otherwise!
  17. Yup, what Fly said. Braid mainline can last a looong time. Leaders help it last.
  18. Got the same problem on one of my Stradic 1000FI's. I've taken the bail apart and found gouging in the plastic of the arm which houses the spring. Thinking about sending it to DVT for maintenance. I've tried grease, oil, etc. (all reel specific), but nothing helps. Just have to make the full close by hand. My other Stradic, slightly newer, doesn't have the problem. Edit: I should say that I always close my bail by hand, but have to force this particular Stradic to fully close.
  19. LOL!! I was telling my wife all about R Sherman, and his belligerent ways. Suddenly he opens his mouth to Erin Andrews and proves it! Priceless moment. I just look at my wife and she looks at me hardly believing what she's hearing RS say. Was a funny moment. He'll only be able to cover ONE of Manning's receiver corps. Once again, advantage Denver!! <fingers crossed> But I do have to say, Sherman's got game. He's dangerous x 10.
  20. We are all so very different in what we like, don't like. Easy to say, "dude, buy this brand, it's the best", but what if you do buy that brand and end up hating it. Rather see you spend your money on something that feels great in your hand, that helps you feel connected to the fishing environment you are in. What works for me may not work for you. Guys these days tend toward longer rods than days past, me, I prefer shorter rods 6'6" and under for my style. As mentioned, take your reel(s) in to BPS- -- or if they have your reel, just use one from the box -- and put it on different rods to feel the balance in your hand. That way YOU are in control and can say "yeah, this feels better than that". Wish it were as easy as just saying "go buy XXXX brand of rod."
  21. I give the nod to Broncos in the SB. Manning will be prepared for Seattle's D, and with more weapons in his receiving corps, victory is within his grasp.
  22. Welcome aboard, Dan!
  23. Welcome aboard, Brian!
  24. x2. We're not talking country of origin, right RW?
