  2. Bandits bombers are good cheap cranks. If you can spend 10.00$ get some little john shallow divers. As for colors in the bombers and bandits a must is sexy shad.Really you need to find out what the bass feed on in your lake then match the hatch. If i had my choice i'd save the money and get you some little johns.
  3. If I would have made that bait I would have never put it on here, would have kept it all to myself let no1 see it lol.No but seriously nice job on that bait, and might as well jump on the bandwagon I want one.
  4. Helped me,Find some clear shallow water with some sticks and rocks and such you can see.Have her bring her lure through that so she can see it when it hits cover. Then see can see and feel what she is hitting.Have you taken her bluegil fishing may help with the bite feel.?And for futher teaching of feel when see starts to get it right take her night fishing.
  5. One thing bout trouney fishing in the wind, you said you go find coves and places where you can get out of the wind, and calm areas. You got to think every1 and there brother is doing the same.Like a few others said on here go out and battle that wind find wind blown points. Also try to find out how long those winds have been blowing.Rick clunn on basspros fishing show gives some good pointers on this,in his art of angling part of the show.
  6. Kinda of funny but i didnt even catch the fish.A buddy and I were fishing in a stipper pit we like to call the channel. We were both teenagers and not real serious bout bass fishing yet.But i remeber looking over and his rod was bent in half,I was like omg what do you have? When he got it to where I could see it was the biggest bass I had seen to date. Was only like 3-4lbs not a hog by no means but like I said was the biggest bass I had seen. From that day on bass fishing been big part of my life. They closed alot of our stipper pit fishing down around here, sure do miss it.
  7. I put a post up about what i learned from nite fishing.Jigs spinners and big worms are my favs.Like some others said fish same way i do during the day.You will be surprised how much your feel of touch will be enhanced.
  8. If anyone can find these please let me know!!!!
  9. I'm looking to buy a boat this fall.I've always thought and wanted a nitro ranger type bass boat. But after watching fishing shows and reading mag. articles,I may have changed my mind.A lund v-bottom type boat seems more stable and more useful.Your thoughts and comments are greatly welcome.
  10. Dose anyone know if mann's makes these anymore?
  11. My favorite was one they dontmake anymore :'( Mann's rabbit hog,was 1/2oz and had one big willow leaf blade.Caught alot of fish on it.
  12. Hey tex,Is that a pic of you in profile? If so you look like rick clunn.lol
  13. I really learned how to fish the bottom of a lake and helped me be able to tell what i was hitting and what the bottom was grass, mud, rock.Seeing I couldnt watch my line I had to pay close attention to what my bait was doing on the bottom. It really helped me figure out the feeling of my line rod and bait.I guess seeing i lost my sense of site at night it made my sense of touch stand out.If any of you are having problems figureing out the feeling of the bottom of a lake you might give this a try.
  14. Thank you guys, but i understand the water isnt right but can you explain the bloody tails. That usaully means spawn right?
  15. I have a buddy who as a now 5yr old but he as been fishing since he was 2yrs old.He can cast a spincast reel by himself and for the most part put it close to where it needs to be.He started out on live bait, but now he can cast and fell the bite on artifical.
  16. Is there a chance bass will spawn in 40-48* degree water,my buddy been catching fish at our lake and seen bloody spots on there tails.Does this mean there are spawning?Or just making beds?Does water temp have to be 55 or above to spawn?
  17. It would be a crawdad color 7 1/2" culprit worm, close second 10" black worm

  21. Was wondering if anyone could tell me what i was catching in florida. The fish were long skinny silver shinny, with a fork tail a mouth like a trout.Thought they were sea trout but after looking at pics they are not.Average fish was 15inches,biggest probably 28inches.Caught them in a bay in fort desoto park out of a kayak.Look like a cross of a tarpon and trout.
  22. I'd have to say either summertime late night bass fishing,or fall part of the year, water satined air temp 60's-70's,5'-10' water.Fishing unweighed plastics.
