  5. i caught some nice sized bluegill yesterday and they had little black specks on them, even in the meat? i havent seen this before so, is this safe to eat? i was plannin on eating them for dnner today
  6. i love fishing spinning rods, you just gotta keep an eye on the spool to see eany loops or whatever b4 they get really bad, and they are much better to fish from shore with, baitcasters + trees = recipe for major backlash
  7. you hear about everyone being intimidated by KVD, but now KVD is intimidated by Skeet Reese 8-)
  8. finesse guy myself, i guess my favorite power tactic would either be a small hollow swimbait, or a swim jig
  9. thanks a ton, that really helped me out
  10. i need to know what its like so i can make my fantasy picks! :exclamation
  11. in the summer there can be alot of grass and i use my medheavy rod with braid for fishing grass, wanted to try fishing it a little this year, just wondering if adding a skirt between the 1/2oz. weight and chiggercraw would be a good idea...
  12. when punching grass for largemouth, do you prefer to use a skirt, or no skirt? the skirt may trigger more bites, but i think it would turn off a few fish too. :-/ what do you think?
  13. i use livebait when im fishing for species i dont fish for alot/species im not familliar with, i mean, i am not a walleye fisherman so i am not gonna pretend that i know what im doing, id rather use some live bait and CATCH something than make a fool out of myself trying to use that fancy walleye junk.
  14. i dont even like the swimbait hooks with the wire spiral keeper, i catch more fish on these:
  15. asically title says it all, whats your favorite for smallmouth and largemouth?
  16. thanks guys...actually decided to fish today...below a dam(thanks) with that swimbait/spinnerbait thinger (thanks) and i got 1 bite!!! one problem: it was not a bass, but a huge 40+ inch muskie!! i was so shocked that i couldnt set the hook and it spit the bait out!! it took a few minutes for me to calm myself down, then resumed casting without anymore success! haha
  17. fishing isnt easy rite now... all the water is stained or downright muddy and its freezing, and im gonna be fishing from shore a little longer... so i want your opinions:how can i catch my first bass of the year? the water just thawed this week::last week it was thick enough to walk on::(rally cold!!) kinda dirty and fishing from shore...
  18. got a big head on him for a fourteen incher!
  19. im 15 and crazy for bass, i see lots of kids fishing, but they seem to be more "whatever is biting" fisherman...not my kinda deal...i for one like the idea of more kids not fishing...less competiton for when i make it in the elite series ;D ;D
  20. i had some good success t-rigging them, and better success dead-sticking them, i like them alot and bought a pack of 8inchers that i havent used yet.
  21. bubba, not a rod builder...just wanna comment on ur picture, what a hawg... im no expert, but i guess that ur bass is slightly over 25 pounds? ;D ;D ;D ;D hahahaha
