  2. whats it like to fish against KVD is it hard to stay focused knowing KVD is on the water?
  3. well i have been going out anyway and i did find some water that wasnt real muddy and i caught a few fish on my new favorite bait...the jig n pig..not many bites but all were nice fat fish..now its going to rain again tomorrow so i'll probably lose my decent water
  4. wow another 2 plus inches of cold rain just fell makeing matters much worse im sure its gonna be tough but i cant stand it an im going! gomma try some of these great tips too...thanks guys

  6. yea well at least its clearing up some on the upper end even around the hothole so maybe things will pick up soon
  7. hey guys an gals..just wanted to post this because im so excited and its because after 50 something years of bass fishing today i caught my 1st fish on a jig..i always try to fish something new, a new technique something im not omfortable with and today it was jigs..just never learned much about jig fishing untill i read so many of you guys talking about useing jigs and catching bigger bass on them..just had 1 bite all day but it was a fat 5 pounder and it came on a jig..thanks to all you guys and thats proof how this site can really help your bass fishing...Bob
  8. well as much as it has rained here so far this winter if i stayed home because of the mud i'd hardly ever get to fish..so instead i'm hopeing to pick up a little tip here that might help..so far i have managed a few fish on jerkbaits and also on rattle traps.

  10. i remember sitting on the bow of my dads old boat.throwing those 1st "rubber" worms with 2 hooks in them and a little tint blade swivelling in front on the worm..caught a lot of fish like that..

  16. hey im in NC and the rains havent hit here yet but i've been doing pretty good useing a jerkbait around points even in the coldest weather..its worth a try

I really appreciate liveing in the southeast after reading all the posts about ice and frozen lakes..here we had some real cold weather followed by a nice warming trend which was precipitated by me sending my boat in for some TLC...talk about bad timeing...lol..gotts a little cabin fever here too..
